August 19, 2025Aug 19 So, I saw this story as a random popup on Facebook, and instantly doubted the heck out of it as people will post all sorts of stuff for likes and as we all know, a lot of it is nonsense. As usual when curious about such stuff, I did some quick research, and to my surprise, it seems to be a true story. Whattayouknow?! Considering how often it was the cat that caused the fall... 😄 When someone mentions the "loaf" posture of a cat, they're usually referring to meatloaf, not pumpernickel. 😄😄 Hook Larry Hookins Oh! August 21, 2025Aug 21 Fantastic! Cats, and in fact most animals, are much smarter than we think. I remember my daughter handing me her hairdryer because it wouldnt work. With dubious electrical safety protocols in mind I gave the cable a wiggle. A huge flash erupted from the cable entry point and I yelped and dropped the offending device. My cat, who was in the other room came racing to me, toward the source of danger rather than away. Its about time we humans treated all animals with the respect they deserve. Cats idea, probably. Something like... You sabotage the device, hand to him, device generates a huge release of energy, I rush over to save him..... and therefore he loves me even more, complains less when I eject a furball on the carpet and then gets me a mega bag of Dremmies cat treats.

I found this in the comments of a cat video: Quote My girl earned her wings at 23 but around 18 yrs old she scared us to death-we had just moved in to a new home in southern California and she was scoping out her back yard when suddenly, she jumped many feet up and downed mid-air...a hawk. My partner ran as fast as he could towards her hoping to save her but preparing for the worst-it was a huge bird of prey. By the time he got there she had already dispatched it and was defeathering it for dinner. What a mess-we had feathers and bird bits all over the yard, and one very happy and proud kitty. We never let her out again by herself but she reminded us of a very important lesson that day -NEVER forget you live with a ferocious beast whose basal instinct is to hunt and kill. True cat people understand this in their cat and embrace it and make sure the need is satisfied some way-even if it is through play. Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
