This discovery is a year old, it’s gone thru many organizations for review and investigation.  It’s more than an “if”, like the video says, smoking gun type of evidence.

Wouldn't it be fascinating to get a sample thoroughly analyzed for DNA.   Whether it be bring a sample back to Earth or send a Mars lander that is capable of DNA analysis.  Imagine that we on Earth share DNA with past life on Mars.

What would that tell us about the Universe.  You would have to believe if there were common DNA, it's not just unique to our solar system.

There was supposed to be a sample return mission (not this rock) but funding was cut and the canisters are still on the Martian surface.

China are planning a sample return mission. Two guesses where they'll probably head?

This rock is purely chemicals, not likely to be anything like DNA. But if we did discover life on Mars with human DNA it would be due to material shared between planets, so wouldn't tell us anything about the probability of life elsewhere in the cosmos. Two distinctly different life forms would indicate a very high probability of simple life being extremely common.

Martian life forms are puny and weak. Only can catch small prey. People will fly to Mars to point and laugh at small no talent Martian cats.

I would like to know how they film these type of films would take abit of effort and camera set ups, unless its all ai generated 🙂
