Life on Mars!

Featured Replies

NASA think they've found evidence of potential past life on Mars. 😯

NASA say they can't find any other explanation.

If true, this is utterly profound, you know. 🙄 Humorous videos might not be apropriate. 😏

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

I wonder what Sam Tyler would have to say about this.

For those actually interested in the finding and the science … jump to 23:17 and to 38:23.

I give up.

IF this pans out its the most monumental discovery mankind has ever made. And all you guys contribute is joke videos and comments.

Do you get the significance?

Yes, this is a very significant discovery. If it can be verified, then life (at least at the microbial level) is very likely to be abundant in the universe.

I get the significance, I don't think (for me) the humour diminishes it...

In summary, there is still a big IF behind these conclusions. Interesting for sure, but no, we haven't found signs of extraterrestrial life yet; just chemicals that are consistent with it.

It's a mighty big "if".  As for the humor, laughter is good medicine for the body.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

I guess. What suprised me was the rapidity of the humour... first response.

Well, yes, as I said, potentially a signature of life. But its the best yet. And NASA scientists couldn't come up with another explanation.

Let's see what happens after peer review.
