September 14, 2025Sep 14 Hi all I am having a difficult time to get my Thrustmaster to work. I have checked loads if pages on you tube and tried what has been said there but it doesn't work for me. It is the spoilers and Flaps I only have one setting in out Going from 0 to full it sets it at the first position to 20degrees and that is that As said I have looked at a few setup films all the same with minor differences but it doesn't work for me Hope someone here can help thx in advance Ian Ian C. September 14, 2025Sep 14 Author Hi Alan I am using the Fenix A320 The pack is working but it is only the Flaps and Spoilers (air brake) that will not function properly I fi go into the windows set up joy.cpl and go to properties the flaps shouldn't go from empty field by one notch to full green field. It should go progressively . As it also shows in all the YouTube videos Thx Ian Ian C. McCulloch 'What would one do without Malt Whisky? Slainte Mhath' It only can get better
September 14, 2025Sep 14 You need to be doing the cALIbration via the MCDU not via properiteis. I used the below yuotube video and mine wortked ok from that, have a look at that one www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E1F298vdJk Jason Jason Thompson
September 14, 2025Sep 14 If the flaps and spoilers are not shown moving smoothly from one end of travel to the other in the windows calibration tool then my guess is that the TCA firmware is not calibrated properly. Try a complete re-calibration by following the doc at TCA_Quadrant-Throttle-addons_Calibration.pdf . Then you can try the calibration in the MCDU. Ian Box
September 14, 2025Sep 14 Spoilers and flaps are two different things, your description is missing too much detail to help you. What exact hardware do you have, the throttle alone, or the couple of extension pieces? I have the sidestick and throttle, for flaps you just need to assign the extension/retraction to the right buttons. Spoilers are an option, i use them infrequenly so just manage them with my mouse in the cockpit, but if you have an axis available then you just have to assign them to it. As others have said, it works perfectly provided you configure correctly, good luck! Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
September 14, 2025Sep 14 Author Hi Const Void That is exactly what I needed. This has worked!!!. And it is different to what people have been showing on YouTube. Thanks a lot for your help. Now a happy camper Thx Ian Ian C. McCulloch 'What would one do without Malt Whisky? Slainte Mhath' It only can get better
September 17, 2025Sep 17 Author So I was happy to early. So it is set up in the properties and they way it should but I cannot get it to do what it should now in MSFS 2024. I cannot find any YouTube or PDFs showing how this is to be done. The Axis for Spoiler and Flaps I just cannot set It goes one notch and that is it on both I see loads of videos for the MSFS 2020 but not 2024. So anyone can help on this??? Thx Ian Ian C. September 17, 2025Sep 17 18 minutes ago, ICMC said: I see loads of videos for the MSFS 2020 but not 2024. The controller settings for FS2020 and FS2024 are the same Kind regards, Hans van WIjhe Acer Predator P03-640 2.10 Ghz Intel 12th Gen Core 17-12700F 64GB memory, Noctua NH-U9S Cooler, 1.02 TB SSD HD, 1.02 TB HD, NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 16GB Memory, Windows 11 (x64)
September 17, 2025Sep 17 Author Hi Hans The settings maybe the same but in 2020 you can the axis in in 2024 I am unable to tell the system to do that It is easier in 2020 . Question Can you copy those settings or a saved file and add it to MSFS 2024 from another user? If so I would be grateful if someone has something that I could copy or make screenshots how they have set it up. I am pulling my hair out having tried now for a solid days and only have the properties doen which is working fine. thx Ian Ian C. McCulloch 'What would one do without Malt Whisky? September 17, 2025Sep 17 Ian, appreciate it’s frustrating but can I confirm as Jason mentioned that you are also calibrating the flaps and spoiler axis through the Fenix MCDU? They are the next pages after the throttle calibration screens. Steve
September 17, 2025Sep 17 I did bind "Toggle Arm spoilers" to button 5 of the quadrant and "Toggle Spoilers" to button 6 of the quadrant. "Increase flaps" to button 5 of the sidestick and :Decrease flaps" to button 10 of the sidestick. Hope this helps Hans Kind regards, Hans van WIjhe Acer Predator P03-640 2.10 Ghz Intel 12th Gen Core 17-12700F 64GB memory, Noctua NH-U9S Cooler, 1.02 TB SSD HD, 1.02 TB HD, NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 16GB Memory, Windows 11 (x64)
