October 12, 2025Oct 12 I played it for a good 8 hours on the first day. Definitely up there with the best online multiplayers I've played.

October 15, 2025Oct 15 I'm having a blast with this game. It is definitely faster paced compared to older games, but still a lot of fun. It definitely makes me feel my age a bit, but takes me back too. I was semi-retired from online FPS games, but this has me back in. One thing to note is that the progression is very, very grindy. It takes many hours and many challenges to unlock things. I don't think it ruins the game, but definitely is more set up for younger people who can put a lot more time into it. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

Yes, but you have to use the Portal browser to find servers, it isn't a consistent playlist. There seems to be lots of servers. With the launch being so popular, Portal has been bogged down a bit. I still haven't been able to create my own custom game yet, so something to keep in mind. It does just seem to be the servers getting slammed due ot the popularity of the game and not really a problem. The problem is though, the game plays fast because the maps are on the smaller side with lots of sight lines. For example, attackers spawning on their fixed base away from the objective should be safe, but in this game you will be shot at instantly. It can be hard to simply cross from spawn to the objective without getting picked off by snipers and other longer range guns (there's lots of long range guns that can melt you at range). So, the game is partially just designed that way. It is very... claustraphobic. Even the lobbies end and get you into a new game very quickly. The gunplay and movement is Battlefield, but they are clearly targeting younger players with the "in the action all the time" thing. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

Hmm..... perhaps they'll release bigger maps, in time. Im not into the frenzy, constant action thing, really. My sons buying it for me as an early Xmas present, next month, so I'll definitely dive into it.
October 15, 2025Oct 15 No crashes on release day? Why can't we have such nice things in the sim world. The beatings shall continue until compliance obtained. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

I'm liking it, I'd prefer a little slower pace, but it is fun. 2 hours ago, Mace said: No crashes on release day? Why can't we have such nice things in the sim world. The game launched globally at 11am eastern on a Friday and actually worked. Honestly, it is the exception to most AAA games. There are issues that need addressing of course, but I was playing the game online on launch day. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

I have to use HUDHIDE in order to play it. so, all in all it wasnt a smooth experience.
