October 22, 2025Oct 22 Hi all. I made a small utility to toggle the Toolbar in MSFS 2024 on and off. I got tired of the huge invasive Toolbar getting in the way when trying to click on tablets / EFBs / overhead panels. It works by simply dragging the folder to the community folder, and by default it will turn off the bar. If you want to toggle it back to on (and off again) just hit Ctrl-Atl-T. I only tested it on SU3, if you find any issues (or are able to test it in SU4 and let me know how it goes!) leave comments in here or in the comments section at the download site. https://flightsim.to/file/99176/toolbar-mod Hope this helps... it sure makes my flights less painful! October 22, 2025Oct 22 Thank you. The handlebar mod I use is good but it doesn't remove it permanently so this is a big improvement. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
October 22, 2025Oct 22 That is a superb little mod, thanks! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

My situation exactly... that's why I decided to give this a go. Although it was a little bit of a nightmare dealing with Asobo's javascript 😅. Thanks for trying it! October 22, 2025Oct 22 Does it work in SU4 beta too Rob? 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
October 22, 2025Oct 22 Works great in SU4 and this is a great little mod. Thank you very much! 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

I have just skipped back out of the beta at the moment due to the need to make some videos, but as Jonathan has confirmed, all good for SU4! I wish we had the mod to remove the HUD in the outside view on a key-press as well. It was great to take screenshots. The old 2020 mod has stopped working in 2024. You have to go all through the menu system to toggle it on and off again now. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). Thanks. The Toolbar is really annoying in Developer Mode. The option to hide it in the sim doesn't work for me for some reason.

October 22, 2025Oct 22 Or maybe a conflict with the older toolbar handle mod if it is in the community folder. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). October 22, 2025Oct 22 Author I tried a few other know Toolbar add-ons and didn't see a conflict. Nor did I see conflicts using dev mode. Maybe it is indeed related to an existing key binding. I'm still thinking how to change the default Ctrl-Alt-T in a user-friendly way, but it is embedded in a Javascript file and not very intuitive to change. My other option was to create a very small floating button on the screen that toggles the Toolbar on and off... but I don't think that would be very welcome. Any thoughts? Would you be in favor of a small icon as an option? Or would you rather be able to select your own key binding? Thanks for all the nice comments guys, means a lot! Enrique Vaamonde

October 23, 2025Oct 23 Just tried this... It's great! I love mods like this, that seem like such a simple thing but end up making a huge QOL difference! (I mean the concept seems simple, I understand that the actual coding is not lol). I would vote against any kind of floating button on screen as a toggle, unless there can be an option to hide it, since the whole point is to not clutter the display of the simulator with any UI elements. Just my preference though, I understand how others could feel differently. Either way, thanks much for this mod. Andrew Crowley
