Also loading a flight with 2024 cache is 30 seconds.  Without cache forget it.

If I'm in a place (I move around alot) where the internet is bad with no cache the game is unplayable.

In 2020 you can delete the cache.  In 2024 it is a lifesaver as everything is streamed.

When I give the "no Rolling Cache" approach a try, I will probably get the same results as you and be very disappointed.  This approach in MSFS 2020 had worked so well that I just have to give it a try.  Thanks for posting your observations.

Agree completely. This goes right back to SU3 in MSFS2020. 

It was a bizarre addition at the time but what they turned on they should now turn off.

It still irks me a great deal and absolutely spoils the experience of night flying.
