November 16, 2025Nov 16 did they fixed the below issues in the su beta. 1.sound popping - https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/audio-popping-crackle-in-msfs-2024/674729 2. vram warning message. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/option-to-remove-resource-usage-exceeds-gpu-message/721686 3, controls bind isssue. when you change a custom control setting like "throttle 1" etc it changes all the settings not just the specfic one. thanks Edited November 16, 2025Nov 16 by fluffyflops

I've tested cache on and off and I get better performance with it off. No stutters and from what I read if you have a good connection you can get away with no cache. MSFS is a strange thing. I deleted the cache as above instructions. Loading time increased with 1/3. Frame rates dropped from 110 to mid 70. Restarted several times, same result. cache in original location, 64 gb. problem solved. Dont know how or why. November 16, 2025Nov 16 I see the same, the sim doesnt profit from a 0.0GB rolling cache on my end, best results I get with 64GB. And I have a 2250Mbit/s connection and a state of the art rig. I've got the same small monitor than yours and don't see any change with gsync enabled or not via Nvidia CP. Thank you!! Yes it’s really weird. I actually experimented by turning my resolution to 2560x1440P versus the default 3286x2160P it worked. Leads me to believe that it’s just too much for the HDMI cables to handle and they really pushed the limits. I wish they would have done display port on the 1st gen. But they didn’t. November 19, 2025Nov 19 I'm absolutely loving the night lighting after being one of the most vocal critics about the sepia mask. One improvement though would be to get rid of lighting on all the minor roads. The American midwest is all lit up with a grid pattern, looks like suburbia. In actual fact there are absolutely no street lights once you move away from the towns. Even the rural freeways dont have lighting.

At least now we can test this option on our respective systems and go from there. Approximately two years ago, I turned-off Rolling Cache in MSFS 2020 and it PERMANENTLY fixed all performance problems I was having back then. I had tried doing the same thing with MSFS 2024 but there is no way to do this directly via a setting so thanks again. One question. Do you know of any correlation between Rolling Cache and the Offscreen Terrain Pre-caching setting in Global Settings ? zachlog
November 19, 2025Nov 19 64 gb cache here. Loading times for me go from <2 minutes to >10 without a cache. Also loading a flight with 2024 cache is 30 seconds. Without cache forget it. If I'm in a place (I move around alot) where the internet is bad with no cache the game is unplayable. In 2020 you can delete the cache. In 2024 it is a lifesaver as everything is streamed. dd Edited November 19, 2025Nov 19 by Sky_Pilot071

Your mind must work on a different level to mine! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
