Didn't notice any different with my GSync.

No, it's working. I just can't get the nvidia to display "gsync" on the display when its active. Not a huge deal. Just usually shows up as its working (I have the setting to display "gsync" on the monitor when its working).

Every single thing is faster - moving around menus, zooming into the world map, loading, choosing planes.. everything.

that’s what really makes this such a massive release. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that SU4 will be the best SU since I started as a Tech Alpha insider in 2019.

Before the negative chaps chime in - yea I know there are various things still buggy, I’m not saying everything is perfect. But the performance gains are truly massive across the board.

sounds like we're getting close to MSFS2024 RTM

Lots of other folks have them in SU4 apparently:

I just checked in SU3:

As far as I know, those lines seem to be an artifact of photogrammetry and LOD. As a possible placebo effect, I use a product that fixes coastlines worldwide (Project coastline) which I suspect can also help a bit with some partially submerged objects. like in your photo which actually appears to be some sort of construction/jetty?

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I fly over the pacific a lot and see this as well, happens middle of nowhere. It's definitely new with SU4 and looks exactly like that image.

I finished flying into DrzewieckiDesign’s Newark. Absolutely flawless on ultra settings, and I’m able to disable rolling cache which eliminates 98% of the stutters for me. I’m beyond impressed with the performance gains. Job well done.

Had to turn off gsync for my odyssey ark gen 1. It kept making the screen black every couple of seconds.

Hi Alcides (super trailer on YouTube BTW ;),
That's very interesting. I've got the same small monitor than yours and don't see any change with gsync enabled or not via Nvidia CP.

How do you disable the rolling cache?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Hi Rob 😉
1/ Create a CACHE folder on your desktop.
2/ In FS2024 settings > online > rolling cache settings/path, enter your folder's path (desktop) and close FS.
3/ Delete your CACHE folder and that's it, no more rolling cache, FS will be fooled and you'll be happy 🙂

Thank you I must test this.  Have seen it suggested a couple of times but didnt know how to do it as the sim normally rebuilds it on startup

Don't it just rebuild it at sim startup?

Shhh... don't ruin it.

9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Actually it does not, if there is no folder. It will then tell you that the rolling cache is 0.0GB in size.

Greetings, Chris
