Agree with Urgent above.  In the first place, there's nothing at all wrong with the roll behavior when banging the yoke to the limit - that's exactly what a light airplane does.  I hate to say it, but

  • Again with the toys.  Don't want 'em?  Not appropriate for your missions?  No worries - don't use them, but that doesn't change what others are doing in the real world in many situations.  Such "toys"

Here is the STEC-901 GPSS control switch that I was referring to in my previous post:-

Unfortunately this is all you get new - autopilot wise - but I'm still happy to have it!

PS..... this is a screenshot from the YouTube video above, not the sim, hence why it looks so rough and low-rez!

SO YEAH!  I caved, and bought it  -without my Comanche 2020 discount- but I did have 10x A2A points, which knocked $10 off the price!  Happy with that.

I'd never normally do this - forsake a significant discount, just to have it NOW! ... but A2A is one of a few devs that I'm happy to give cash to, to keep them doing what they do 😎

I just wanted to update the status of my overcharge I reported a little earlier. This issue was resolved quickly and to my complete satisfaction by a member of the A2A support team... just as I knew it would.

System: i9-14900K, Asus ROG Z790 MB, 64GB ram, Samsung 4TB NVMe SSD, Asus ROG Strix 4090, Pimax Crystal Light

Hardware: VitualFly Yoko yoke, VirtualFly TQ6+ throttle quadrant, Thrustmaster TPR pedals, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS

Simulations: MSFS 2024 and 2020 (VR), P3Dv5.3 (VR), X-Plane 11.5 (VR), DCS (VR)

They're the best!   ... and on Christmas Eve too!

Before I decided to buy it, I added it to my cart, then applied my A2A points, then decided to wait, so cleared my cart.   When I went back to A2A to buy it for real, I added it to my shopping cart, but my points were gone!  They were not showing, my balance was displayed as 0 points and there was thus no box to use points.    But when I clicked through to the final payment screen, there was my points!   It's just the way the system works I guess.

I'm so stoked to have a native 2024 Comanche..... the walkaround is just legendary now!

From the A2A Comanche Native 2024 Addendum Manual, regarding the GPSS unit:-

= exactly the same as the Aerostar, which also has this STEC-901 GPSS unit fitted.

Merry Crimbo all, my garmins (default) aren’t powering on when avionics master is switched on. All buttons / knobs unresponsive. Is there another logic to switching the,non in the 2024 version? Other radio/nav stacks working ok.

Check the fuses under the panel. The one that controls the avionics may be pulled out.

No, all other avionics / stacks work, it’s just the garmins.

The new GPSS system doesn't work with the payware PMS GTN750.

I mean nada.  Spins around in circles and goes off in the wrong direction.  Tried many DTOs and checked everything.  All set up correctly but it just doesn't work.

Really disappointed because I bought this version to enjoy GPSS with the GTN750.

It works fine with the WT GNS530.

🥲

...after a little more investigating I've found that:-

With the payware PMS GTN750;

  • The GPSS does not work with the GTN750 (only) set up
  • The GPSS does work when using the GTN750/650 combo

When it is working it feels really good.  It's very clear and noticeable that A2A haven't just 'turned on' the default GPS coding in the sim.   The movements and tracking are more nuanced and feel exactly like aircraft with this type of set up in the real world feel. 😎

Has anyone heard if A2A has mentioned when the upgrade will be available on the Marketplace?

For less than €8, let's see if others learn from this.

One of the best add-ons in the history of flight simulation. Simply perfect!

And I paid $9.99!

Check if CDI control is set to GPS, otherwise the GPS may not provide the steering data for the autopilot.

It will be.

Tried today the "new" native FS24 Comache, sincerely I can't see substantial improvements from the previous version, the prop texture is something like grainy and it's very annoying because you have it just in front your eyes all the time. Maybe something is improved with the flight model but the rolling is snapping like an acrobatic airplane, it's flying on rails. Is it possible to see the complete list of improvements from the previous version?

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
