This version features several fixes for the issues the community has discovered after our latest update

Yeah, introduces a new one - "only cold and dark config available".

You'd only just introduced the new states, and they were the only reason I came back for another look at this. Glad I only took a 30 day licence.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

While I imagine this isn't what the developer was going for, coincidentally it is in fact common on Classics for pilots to do this.  The screens in (most) Classics are CRTs, which generate a lot of he

where'd you get that? My panel states work just fine.

the comment is from the release notes, and on my system, the EFB shows "ready to taxi" but everything is switched off.

Those release notes have been like that since the summer, they don't get updated much. Are your yokes turned sideways?

My yokes are indeed indicating the product is inactive. But the launcher shows as active and I don't have what I dimly remember as the activation panel showing in the cockpit.

Plus, at one point this morning the plane was working fine when I started the sim. But I just started it again and it's back to being non-functional. I daresay if I uninstall, reinstall again it will probably go through the same cycle. This is extremely frustrating, as I really do like this aircraft when it decides to work for me. For my tastes, it's way better than the PMDG.

I'm sort of assuming here that you're part of the dev team, and so might I suggest a couple of things. If the aircraft needs activating, for whatever reason, an actual pop-up screen saying so and presenting a field to suppy the activation details would be a lot more useful than just displaying the yokes as sideways. I have absolutely no idea if that yoke thing is indicative of the real aircraft, but even if true, this is a PC simulator not the real aircraft and being activated is a PC simulator requirement.

And a second suggestion would be to have another popup reminding the user to switch to the legacy cockpit interaction system. This is very easy to forget, particularly as this seems a very specific requirement (i.e. nothing else I have seems to require this).

Apologies if you're nothing to do with the devs, just say so and I'll try and get these suggestions to them another way.

The activation process is meant to be seamless and entirely automatic. If your yokes remain turned sideways that means that something has gone wrong (most likely your antivirus blocking the launcher's access to the servers) and the launcher wasn't able to authenticate your license. There's a troubleshooting channel in the Discord as well as a chapter in the launcher manual explaining what to do in this case.

Thank you for your feedback! We'll see what we can do about that.

Seems to have been the case. I'd thought I had made an exception in the Windows firewall for this but maybe I missed a click or something. Anyway, did it again for all three '.exe's in the folder and ok now.

Thanks

I had the same problem when loading the 735.The trick I was told which helped me get the cockpit working was after you load AC at airport, start the CSS launcher, then close it, then go to your show hidden icons on lower right corner and close the CSS hidden icon. Then start the CSS launcher again.

Have to say, even the buying and installation process in this thing is tortuous. It’s like they don’t want to sell it to you! I tried to buy it from them and fell into the whole 30 minutes naughty step so gave up and bought it from Simmarket instead.

Then the launcher app decided that my work email wasn’t a real email address and upon trying my regular old hotmail account, it tells me mail update has failed and to contact support. Not impressed so far, one bit. No wonder it hasn’t sold well.

Did they add the direct to function in the fmc yet ?

Hi there. I decided to give it try and bought the one month trial for $5. First impressions weren't that bad, but after entering the flight plan, the CDU (and essentially all the systems) becomes extremely sluggish, almost unresponsive. So, there has still been no update which addresses that yet? So far, I have been unable to do a single flight.

So when this occurs its due to a particular approach/star/sid/departure. According to CSS there's navdata flags that they need to cover, they've covered more of these flags in the most recent update which has helped but I've learned there's still soem issues with the aforementioned. My advice is to report it on the discord or send a ticket through the launcher with your exact route so they can investigate.

Thanks a lot for confirmation. I've reported the issue through the launcher.
