We strongly recommend a full reinstall of the CSS 737 for this update. Please note that due to changes with the licensing process, older versions of the aircraft will not work. This update is mandatory. Buckle in, because this massive update brings tons of changes, new features, and an all-new CSS Launcher! It is truly a night-and-day experience compared to the previous version! The All-New CSS Launcher Sleek, modern and intuitive - welcome to the 2026 CSS Experience! Serving as the first gateway into this update, the CSS Launcher has been redesigned from scratch, incorporating community feedback to make it visually appealing and easy to use. The new CSS Launcher is now available via an automatic update to all CSS users. Just go to the Launcher, after it's updated, delete the plane and install it again. Native FS2024 Compatibility We've been hard at work implementing the native FS2024 project structure and fixing the numerous bugs that came up during the Experimental FS2024 period. All of that is now done, and The CSS 737-500 is now officially fully compatible with FS2024! With the benefit of significantly improved graphics and performance, we hope you enjoy your CSS 737 flights in FS2024! Due to the CSS 737 now unitilizing the native FS2024 file structure, current community-made liveries will need to be converted to the KTX2 format to work in FS2024. The official liveries are fully compatible. New Features This update comes packed with several new features. The airplane now has livery-specific engine ratings and winglet configs, together with a proper Winglet flight model. This means that there are now 3 variants of the 737-500: 18.5K, 20K and 20K with Winglets. All of them have their own performance characteristics and calculations. We've also added new Stab Trim and Ground Roll sounds, and adjusted the existing sounds, so the airplane now sounds much better. This lays the foundation for a more substantial sound rework that will come in the future. The EFB has been improved with lots of QoL additions, such as the Performance Calculator now automatically fetching proper aircraft model and registration. Additionally, we've added new panel states - Ready for Start and Ready for Taxi, for those who don't fancy starting the aircraft from cold and dark every single time. VOR/LOC VOR, Go Around modes and VNAV Flap Target speeds have been added among several other system additions, and the RMI is finally fully operational. System Fixes and Improvements This update features countless bug fixes and system improvements of which there are simply too many to name. The FMC, VNAV, LNAV and Autopilot have all seen substantial rework and improvement, in addition to improvements to the flight model and system logic. For example, the parking brake logic has been changed to reflect real life - you must hold the brake pedals, hold the parking brake lever, release the pedals and only then release the lever for the parking brake to engage. The speedbrake and ground spoiler logic has also almost entirely been rewritten. All in all, the airplane feels, flies and sounds entirely different - polished, enjoyable and alive, laying a great foundation for the soon to come 737-300 and 737-400! Model and Texture Fixes and Improvements The model has, too, seen several improvements, both on the inside and outside. Both the Exterior and the Interior lighting have been improved, in addition to several small fixes to the interior and the exterior models - and the airplane looks absolutely beautiful! We'd like to reiterate that our team is not stopping, and we are now shifting work on finalizing the 737-300 and 737-400, which will also become available very soon, along with our new pricing policy. We want to thank you for your patience and support during these months of development. This is a start of an all-new CSS experience, and we can't wait for you to try it! **1.6.41 Changelog** -Aircraft performance table aligned with actual registration and engine rating -Added 18.5K, 20K, 20K Winglet engine data -Added new stab trim sounds -Added new ground roll sounds -Added Go Around modes -Added VNAV approach flap setting target speeds -Added EFB option for FO display FPS optimization -Removed winglets configuration from EFB -Introduced delay to DIR TO turns -Fixed flap indicator going back to 0 after reaching Flaps 40 -Fixed CRZ WIND entry range -Offset modified EHSI path push until path is complete -Fixed incorrect stab trim movement with AP engaged -Fixed missing ADF bearings on EHSI -Improved glareshield shake effect -Fixed SELECT DESIRED WPT screen showing several VORs with null coordinates -Fixed LEGS first waypoint not matching RTE first waypoint -Fixed distance based navaid sorting -Fixed light panel switches cutout backlight missing -Fixed CVR needle during test -Fixed CTR getting hidden behind two altitude restrictions on LEGS page -Fixed CLB N1 not matching FMC -Fixed DIR TO causing an unreasonable turn -Fixed PPOS waypoint appearing on EHSI after DIR TO -Fixed RESET MCP ALTITUDE message appearing when it shouldn’t -Fixed stab trim moving when switching views -Fixed unresponsive brake pedals after autobrake disconnect -Fixed T/O config warning triggered by speedbrake axis -Disabled spoiler axis if armed using mouse or keyboard -Fixed speedbrake handle moves randomly to stow position -Fixed VNAV PTH to VNAV SPD change missing -Fixed VNAV PTH late descent due to missing decel -Fixed VNAV PTH no rate change with speedbrakes extended -Fixed early TOD when reaching TOC during departure -Fixed missing VNAV mode termination when flaps ectended beyond 15 -Adjusted VNAV PATH profile priotiy over speed -Fixed objects with backlight having separate emissive component -Adjusted static changeover altitude -Fixed standby altimeter not working in MSFS2024 -Improved VNAV descent deceleration -Fixed SID not clearing when changing departure airport in FMC -Fixed POS INIT coordinates after recycling IRS -Improved Autoland -Improved Flaps lift & drag -Adjusted Stall Warning Computer speeds -Fixed green dot speed displaying above FL200 -Fixed autobrake disarming using toe brakes -Fixed speedbrake handle animation in VC -Fixed aircraft climbing above FMC cruise altitude -Fixed LEGS page not displaying Mach numbers -Fixed VNAV SPD climb target not matching FMC -Fixed TOD after STAR re-sequence -Fixed MSFS2024 lights not having spills -Fixed waypoint disappearing when using direct to fix during departure -Fixed vertical channel staying in FMC_PATH after altitude restriction removal -Fixed VNAV commanding excessive V/S for path recapture -Fixed MCP Mach displaying 0.60 when switching from VNAV -Fixed MCP SPD mode not engaging with VS -Fixed being able to select MCP SPD with LVL CHG -Fixed MCP modes not deselecting -Fixed ADF receivers not detecting signal -Fixed RDMI ADF arrows not displaying bearings -Fixed RDMI DME indicators showing 0 instead of dashes in ADF mode -Fixed RDMI fail flags logic -Fixed EHSI ADF pointers displaying VOR bearing instead of ADF -Fixed EHSI VOR/APP mode not displaying CDI -Fixed EHSI VOR/APP mode showing VNAV deviation instead of glideslope deviation -Fixed MCP VOR/LOC mode not working for VOR -Fixed VOR/LOC mode not working FROM VOR -Fixed EHSI waypoints disappearing too early -Fixed unable crz altitude message appears for the modified route -Fixed thrust settings and FMC phase after missed approach -Improved FMC Approach phase -Improved EADI VMO/MMO barber pole movement with configuration changes -Fixed flap setting being copied into scratchpad when selecting VREF -Improved autopilot turn tracking -Fixed LVL CHG using VNAV target altitude if engaged after VNAV -Fixed ASP3 backlight linked to Aft Electronic panel -Adjusted flight spoilers drag -Fixed EFB Weather app filling both alternates in Alternate field if SimBrief computes 2 alternates -Increased EFB pushback speed -Fixed EFB pushback allowing selection of multiple directions at the same time -Fixed Override Aircraft Configuration toggles Winglets -Fixed Simbrief OFP cannot be displayed -Fixed NAVIGRAPH app doesn't set airports value from OFP -Fixed WEATHER app doesn't set airport value from OFP -Fixed PERF app doesn't set current Aircraft type -Fixed PERF app doesn't set current reg number -Fixed GPU button missing -Fixed Load button missing -Fixed Unable crz altitude message appears for the modified route -Fixed LEGS first waypoint missing if no departure runway selected -Fixed Navdata out of date message with the latest Navigraph airac Enjoy, Captains! December 30, 2025Dec 30 I would love a great 737-500 but nobody's said anything good about this product. Maybe I'll wait a bit and see how these new updates are received. December 30, 2025Dec 30 I’ve been looking forward to this - going to try the update and if it feels on track might just buy the range outright.
December 30, 2025Dec 30 The "ready to " panel states make this more appealing. I like this model of the 737, but I really won't buy something that insists I operate all the controls as if for real. Happy for all those souls who live for this sort of thing but I don't want it. Make a "ready for take off" state and I'll buy it pretty much immediately. I daresay that feels almost insulting after all the no doubt hard work and effort put in to this, but I'm sure you'd sell at least a few more copies that way. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Okay so I like the devs, and I like the product. I want this thing to succeed badly. But holy moly does their purchase experience make it so much harder to actually get your hands on this addon. Installed the launcher, went to purchase a monthly sub to test this out. Changed my mind immediately and thought - you know what, let's take a gamble, I promised this would be a xmas gift to myself. Let's just go for the big $120 one-time thing. Nope! I'm now locked out making any purchases in the launcher. There's a 30 minute cooldown if you don't complete the purchase. All I did was close the window, didn't even put any details in. Serves me right I suppose. And look, I don't mind the time itself but as someone who is limited on free time, it just means I probably won't be able to do anything with this addon until tomorrow. My plea to developers - please please please think about what the experience of buying your stuff is actually like. It's not enough to code up an addon, people have to actually buy your product. So many treat this as an afterthought, but the reality is that's the business you're in and dumb stuff like this hurts your sales in the end.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 ....not a mention about getting any standard key assignments for the basic AP functions like the Heading Bug. This is the first addon I've ever come across that doesn't have these basic functions binded to the standard MSFS key assignments (I'm not talking about custom functions like VNAV). If that essential has not been fixed yet, then I won't even bother to install this new update - and I only bought a month's licence 2 days ago. They must get the basics right, so that the product is usable without solely and extensively having to use fiddly mouse clicks. We all want a good 737 classic but chucking down $120 on this when you haven't used it before is just ................. very risky. 1 hour ago, andy1252 said: The "ready to " panel states make this more appealing. They implement these odd approaches under the guise of realism, even though in the real world, pilots don't turn all the screens off when they complete their shutdown checklist. I only bought a month's licence for this 2 days ago and it was the most tedious 30+ minutes to get flying. I don't mean the knowledge side. I have 500+ hours in the IXEG 737 on X-Plane. I mean everything is just a fiddly mess with this plane, and there are no standard key commands for the AP working (except for TOGA randomly). While I imagine this isn't what the developer was going for, coincidentally it is in fact common on Classics for pilots to do this. The screens in (most) Classics are CRTs, which generate a lot of heat in the cockpit compared to the LCDs in NGs and Maxs. Additionally, CRTs have the image-burn-in consideration. So, while I don't remember it being a mandatory procedure back when we had Classics, it was a common technique to turn all screens down to min brightness before leaving the airplane. Andrew Crowley

On the A300 we also do this in real life. Except the two ECAM-screens, but we do dim them down to the minimum.

Ah but you know what, I had a great first flight in it just now, taking it up for a quick circuit. Maybe it's the chaseplane, or rumbling down a hot australian outback strip, but it was great fun. I thought the ground handling was good, the sounds were decent, and I liked how it handled. There were some annoying things - like using too much walkaround mode resets the state of the plane (!) but those things can be worked with. Quite happy with my $5 so far, and if the fixes continue and with other variants coming shortly I think it will be good. It's not the $60 DC-9 level of jank that I was expecting, and I got burned badly on that one.
December 31, 2025Dec 31 Too lazy to read the changelogs, but does the cockpit now look on par with iFly or PMDG? And does the plane have solid sounds now? For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I purchased on release day with the subscription. Was not usable at all. Couldn't start the APU and gauges flashed. they said they would extened everyones subscription when they patch it. Problem was the release bug lasted 3 weeks and they extened peoples licence just 5 days. Not interested in ever returning as a customer.
