I haven’t dipped my toe into this beta yet. What’s the latest with compatibility of adding and are there any major issues at the moment?

Being a beta, on one random day it like wiped my binding presets.  Not my bindings but like what airplane they were assigned to.  So now I have to re-set up my preferences and profiles per aircraft.  Mildly annoying.

The biggest issue I've seen so far is I can't use track IR because of seeing a weird message box reminding me I need to center my view.  Even though I have already done so.

EDIT:  Oh excellent, the msg box no longer appears in the latest beta... happy Track IR flying again!

With auto fps you have total control over how far settings can drop.  Generally speaking outside of tht busiest airports I run a very high TLOD maybe 600 with great performance still.

Thanks for the clarification. I reduced TLOD from 250 to 225 in my test at EGLC London City (in addition to disabling displacement mapping), and that enabled me to complete my flight with acceptable performance. The visual detail at distance seems perfectly fine at TLOD 225, so I am not sure that I would need to raise it to 400!

For the record, that 12GB VRAM is almost certainly the only reason for me to limit my detail settings. Framerates are super smooth when my VRAM is not hitting the limit. I wish that I had more, but I obtained that RTX 4070 Super GPU at a bargain basement price, so I cannot complain  This is why I am interested to know if there have been any improvements with respect to VRAM usage in SU5. I am sure that I saw a comment somewhere that this is indeed the case.....

I've only seen reports of Chaseplane being broken.
