One more reason for me to stay away from 12.4.1. 🙂
I simply have no time to investigate what plugin is incompatible, or causing stutters/fps slow downs. When I have 1 or 2 hours of spare time to fly, I want to fly and not troubleshoot.

Well its not laminars problem They told developers what they where doing to fix bad be haviour. So you may be stuck there a while. To add it should tell you in your log, Aint going to fix itself.

Quite aware of the situation. When I have couple of hours to spare for 12.4.2 tests, I will dive in.

Hi mjrhealth. It took a while to figure it out the issue but I finally did and reported it to FS++ and they are going to update the plugin.

activesky - patch released

xuipc - installed old version as recommended by xplane 

live traffic - patch released

fstramp - no patch incoming as its not longer going to be updated by the dev, which is a shame as I really liked it 

Good 12.4.1 is stable release it seems. Little bit of model adjustments here n there varies. Find this iteration very smooth, high FPS, lights and lighting good. Sticking with default scenery for foreseeable future. I can have maybe 24 airliners of varying complexity and some 100 plus general aviation aircraft. Load time is quick (acf dependant) - license activation applications continue to be problematic all developers - on Linux platform. 

You know every time I start and run this simulator - I think - WOW! Hard to believe a PC based simulation could be so impressive!

Whats there to addon?

Please stop generalizing individual issues unless you have valid statistical proof. Apart from copy & paste not working, I have zero issues with activating any payware product using license keys on Linux.

While I strongly agree overall, I will state that Orthos are necessary for me. 
e.g., something got re-ordered in my scenery ini and while my lovely addon airport loaded properly, the countryside orthos didnt. 

The cockpit experience remained GREAT, but the fundamental mismatch between ground textures and what’s there IRL was jarring. Even more so since this was a flight at 5k asl (as IRL). 

XP needs addon ground scenery for the same reason it needs addon airplanes 🙂🤙
