Took a short flight in the old Thranda Kodiak with REP.

No issues observed so far.  👍

I'm getting tempted 😁

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Funny how that article does not mention the biggest fix introduced with 12.4.1, the Vulkan crashes plaguing the AMD crowd.  12.4.1 running beautifully here.
Thank you Laminar.

Looking forward for what's coming next, Delta promised an updated roadmap by end of this week

I just took a look at the new roadmap. Flight dynamics coming soon too. Honestly, I keep glancing over at XP lately. I may have to just buy my self and Airbus to give it a try over there. I have the 757 and 767 and very much enjoying flying there. Especially with the programmingdinosaur fork of Autoprtho that automatically switches to default textures for night flight.

Give the default A330 a whirl. It's good now. Not sure if the documentation is up to spec yet, but if you know how to operate an Airbus in MSFS, you can basically fly one in any sim.

Had awful stuttering and FPS slowdowns in the 12.4.1 B2, so I went back to 12.4.0, and not sure should I risk updating again....

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

I dont suppose you read release notes and bothered to update necessary plugins etc, they even provided a list

Radar Contact causes a crash now.  Went back to 12.4.0

Install a 2nd copy of X-Plane for testing purposes.  I have 3 installations.

Funny thing is that 12.4.x has been going so well for me so far that my old 12.3 install is now my “Beta” 🤪

i dont suppose you read you log to find out why... or inquired to see if radar contact has an update, Because its just going to keep crashing when you update.

The "I am not upgrading" or "I am going back to..." guys are living on borrowed time - there is one way, and that is forward.

Incompatible plugins and add-ons must be made compatible or removed - most already have an update if they need one.

The future of X-Plane going multicore for better performance depends on this, so there is not arguing, the rules have been valid for almost a decade, plugins devs have infringed on it at their own risk (and the customers/users damage).

In the worst case scenario of a dev not supporting his illegally coded plugin, it will have to be removed.

You can "try" to stay on 12.4.0 - but you will not be able to enjoy future improvements and endure the constant update nag - it is up to you to decide if this is worth it or not.

Usually the ones not reading whats going on in beta runs, never read release notes and just assume tgere 10year old plugins addons will work forever
