If you're getting higher GPU temperatures after SU5, I don't think that means there's anything wrong with your install - it just means that SU5 is making better use of your GPU (it's "pushing" it hard

  • Problem has been solved. Thanks everybody for your tips, hints, advises, lectures etc. Alas none of them resulted in a resolution. However, uninstalling and reinstalling FS2024 did the trick.

No idea, sorry, sounds like something is badly wrong though. I certainly haven't seen this reported anywhere so I don't think it is an SU5 issue. Well, I know it isn't as mine is unaffected and I have

Some users have mentioned in various posts on the net that their graphic settings were changed to Ultra after SU5, this would account for the higher temps - might be worth a look.

Nothing changed in my graphics settings after the update so that ain't it.

I'm currently doing my first Fenix flight after SU05 dropped. Yes the GPU now sits at 99%, but my temperatures remain at 50°C. So no issues here.

All is back to normal again, my temperatures are back to what they were under SU4.

Nothing to do with SU5 then.

I have higher GPU, 3090, temps and lower CPU temps.  GPU was in the high 60s on SU4 and now running at about 75 with SU5.

What resolution do you run and what's the max VRAM usage that you have seen with your 3090? I'm looking into upgrading my 3070 to 3090 and would love some insights. Thanks.

What I have found is that while 4090 GPU temps are up somewhat especially in external views I no longer get "Limited by main thread" with CPU load more even across all cores on my 9800X3D.
