May 13May 13 Hi Mates, I'm currently studying the opportunity to get Flow by Parallel 42. Here are some interesting use cases (at least for me) I have spotted by reading their website: Visualize winds Lock the time for the perfect "forever" sunset Click automatically the Start button for you as soon as the sim is loaded Throw you straight into Free Flight directly Click automatically the Ready to fly button for you, throwing you directly into the flight Search for METARs around you or at specific ICAOs My questions: 1) What do you use Flow for? 2) Do you have Flo Essentials or Pro? 3) With the Script Editor I want to create a simple checklist that would come as an ***overlay***: list of items, tick when done, next/previous item or page. I want a resizable (or tiny) interface. Is that possible? Thank you. May 13May 13 Quite simply, the default toolbar sucks. Prior to SU5, if you added too many things, it would not scroll unless you downloaded a mod off fs to. SU5 finally fixed that. Also not sure if it still happens, but I know any changes I saved to my toolbar would not save. Some thing I never use would be front and center while the thing I wanted was way off screen. Just convinence really. I did start messing around with the scripting, but the functions you can do seemed kind of limited. You're limited to what MSFS functions can do. I was trying to create a script that would tune 122.0 into the radio automatically, but it didn't seem to work. It does come with some better tools too. The wind visualizer is neat. To me it isn't a "must have" but I like it. I press a key and my menu pops up, with everything exactly where I want it. So basically one of those things I'm using every day, but only kind of scratching the surface. Basically, I was happy to pay to stop my headaches with the default toolbar. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
May 13May 13 Can't do without it, it is a must have for me, along with GSX and Chaseplane. May 13May 13 For my usage, it's (just) a nice to have. Mainly faster and better UI (smaller and less screen intrusive) to do these : Select time of the day Select preset or live weather Teleport to new location when I change my mind due to (MSFS real) weather not compatible with VFR 😉 Months ago, I've tried to leverage my Flow Pro investment (32€ or actually 2€ upgrade from MSFS202) and looked for plugin. Download one or two and they were mainly gadgets. I would love to change my minds and I'm ready to listen to plugin I'm not aware of. PS: do you know how - with my Flow Pro and MSFS2024 - to skip the main MSFS2024 menu ? It's advertised "FREE FLIGHT: Flow can throw you straight into Free Flight directly instead of the wall of buttons you rarely use." and even "START BUTTON: Flow can click the Start button for you as soon as the sim is loaded." It allows you to add your important aps, such as FSR+, ChasePlane, etc to the wheel. You can disable the handle bar. The wheel becomes the tool to access your weather, time, aps, etc. But, for me the most usefull feature is that I can move the airplane anywhere in the airport, or to any airport without going back to the menu. This was a time saver in v2020. I have Essentials and I highly recommend it. The pro allows you to change the wheel theme. That's cool, but for me it was not worth the extra $$. MSFS

May 13May 13 I use a fair few of the add-on scripts - most notably: 1) Trim 2) Set tailwheel lock 3) Camera scroll speed for drone view The default toolbar is a total mess - but I still use it along with Flow Pro.

May 14May 14 I have a mod to hide the default toolbar which I never, ever need and it just gets in the way. Presumably you can bring up Flow with a custom key and it otherwise remains hidden all the time? 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

May 14May 14 Just now, CFIJose said:Yes. You can do this on initial setup, or in options section.Excellent. And 'Skip to Free Flight' does exactly that when you start the sim?
