That'll be addressed as part of the 2024 native build.Yes, Andrew, that's exactly what I'm seeing in MSFS 2024. I noticed it immediately compared to the previous version. I no longer have MSFS 2020 installed, so I can't compare directly, but something definitely changed, and in my opinion the earlier version had better flight dynamics. To be fair, the new 2024 FDE entries actually work very well in 2020, which suggests the issue can likely be addressed without too much difficulty. That said, in many respects there is still no real comparison with the competition, and it's clear the developers are actively looking for improvements and refinements. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
14 hours ago14 hr I am taking this up for a SEA-ANC flight checking to see if the CTD issue I have been having is fixed? I have noticed so far the plane feels a little less resource heavy on my machine. This certainly helps one way or another I would think! Please Stand By......
14 hours ago14 hr Question - I know each airline has it's own configurations for these jets (various PFD/ND settings, ice probes, HUD, etc). My question is, when I select one of the iFly liveries, does that automatically select the proper configuration for that particular jet or do I have to do some serious googling and then go through and manually configure the jet so it's set up like the RL aircraft?Speaking of RL, question - the outer most displays have a section that shows flight number, time, etc. Below that is a significant portion of the screen that is not in use, it's just blacked out. Is this section used by any current airlines? If so, what data is displayed?
14 hours ago14 hr I just had a CTD with the latest update. I was flying at 360 when suddenly my FPS dropped from steady 100 to 60 and then DirectX error popped up and sim froze. I have not had a CTD in over 2 years. And this was with a clean community folder. 11 hours ago11 hr Just completed my SEA-ANC flight and no CTD. It was pretty smooth sailing until on final I got one of the famous FS2024 memory error pop ups and it started to get little pauses when I changed views but luckily it never CTD on me. I think it might need more testing to know for sure but I think its extremely positive it did not CTD on this flight and after the update. Actually the 1st successful flight with SP1.

I always have to reconfigure the official iFly Alaska livery after installing a new version, so I guess at least that one doesn't. Unsure what third party guys like @Steve Dra or Jviation do... Maybe Steve can chime in. As far as the blank space on the PFD, as far as I know that's standard on Maxs. The area with the clock, flight number, selcal, timer etc is called the aux display. In aircraft with the HGS, there will be a black display above that labeled "HGS"; this is called the HGS status panel and allows the first officer to monitor HGS modes and performance so that both crewmembers can verify they're getting what is needed in low vis. But other than that, yep, wasted space. The iFly accurately handles display auto switching, which causes the display configuration to change. If you're curious, give yourself an outboard DU failure and watch how the aux panel jumps up on top of the PFD side of the suddenly-split-screen inboard display. Andrew Crowley
5 hours ago5 hr Hey guys!,anybody can explain me why when selecting any livery downloaded with the ifly manager (on the pax178 version model ONLY) the panel loads in a wrong situation, none of the switches works, sunvisors extended, double tablets over FMC showing nothing it drives me crazy because selecting the same livery in another version like 189pax,166pax or -8200 it loads the panel ok.....(we have a lot liveries on the manager with the same reg for different PAX versions that works ok but when selecting 178pax it brokes the panel. And is there any action that i can take in order to solve this or is required to restart the entire sim? Thanks in advance and i appreciate any light on this. I posted my CTD experience to see if anyone else was having the same issue and if they figured out what caused it. Having a good flight doesn’t help me troubleshoot the problem. My suggestion is to clear the WASM folder and repeat the flight. I did this and had no issues on my second attempt. As for the landing lights, they have already stated that they are way too bright. From the Discord support group “it's because it's a port to 2024 and 2024 handles lighting differently to 2020”. It will be resolved when the 2024 native version is released. I always uninstall previous version and reboot computer. Then install the full version with update patch. Then I start 2024 and load plane at an airport to let it initialize and build WASM, close the sim and reinstall the nav data. Load plane again, start the plugin. Then go flying. So far it has worked for me. I uninstalled all of my liveries and then uninstalled the plane and reinstalled the plane and the update. Reloaded in the sim and then exited and reinstalled the liveries. All is working now.
