iniBuilds A380 ...

I would hope it will perform better than the 8K Version FBW A380🤣

The FBW A380 performs quite well on my PC, but I guess your graphic card would struggle anyway with this beast, I see no reason why the INI A380 would be leaner on VRAM since it is even more detailed than the FBW.

Did I read somewhere they're doing an A350 v2?

It was mentioned on the Discord, won't be coming until sometime after the A380 releases.

It will take advantage of all the new stuff they've created for the A380.

Forgive my ignorance because I don’t have MSFS but wouldn’t AutoSave in FSUIPC resolve that problem? It’s got me out of jail a few times in P3D and FSX in earlier days.

The ini A350 (and A340, and presumedly the Tristar I don't own that though) have a built in autosave system that works great, the FSUIPC one isn't needed for them.

Why do a V2, why not just continue updating the present one?

V2 probably just means the version number will be 2.0 instead of 1.X

They haven't said if it will be a paid update or not.

While it's not an aircraft, they have said they're not charging for OMDB V2 which is a complete rebuild of the scenery. So it's not impossible that the A350 V2 will also be a free update.

The same reason the 2024 version of the A350 runs better than the 2020 version. 2024 has better optimization options for devs.

The FBW devs are currently working on a native 2024 version of their A380, and claim it has performance improvements.

So you're flying the 8K version FBW A380 and get good performance in 2D?

As per signature, my Nvidia card has 24 GB of VRAM, that helps even though it is an "old" 3090, I would not be able to tell what my FR are since I never ever control them with any plane, all I care about is if my flight is visually smooth, and it is with the FBW A380.

I'm on a 24GB 3090 STRIX ( my sig is from 8 years ago😅) so yea I understand.

Visually smooth is all that matters!

I hope they have an option for resolution. While I can do a higher resolution, I'd be fine with 2K and give everything else more overhead. (4090RTX) Other than that, I'm a huge fan of the A380 and will probably get it day 1.

At least for the the A350 is significantly better performing than the A380 (20-30+ frame difference). If the A380 performs even as well as the A350 it will be far more flyable than the FBW is in it's current state even on 4k textures.

Even the 4K Version FBW A380 is no joke🤣
As someone who flies strictly VR, unless one turns most of the other sim eye candy on low. I just don't care to even bother buying one of the Inibuild mega liners like A350/A380.

I just want to add, the FBW is a poor performer because when it released it was primarily detail to the max with very little optimisation. This was discussed in the NOTAM. There is however, an upcoming update in testing for FS24 that includes a large variety of performance optimisations and compliance with the fs24 SDK. that’ll result in greatly improved performance.

Fbw showcased this at FSW last year and this year at the more recent event last weekend.
