Preview of Ramona CAL FIRE Air Attack Air Force Base (v1.4)

Featured Replies

The next version of my freeware scenery will be a major milestone. Here're some WIP screenshots. Caution: it's only for General Aviation lovers. No gateways, no pizza box and restaurant inside the terminal ;) Some details on the landside but also improvements on the airside a.k.a the "pilot perspective". Because it's a flight sim after all, like removing an extra MSFS2024 windsock, reposition of the VASI on both taxiway ends, fix taxiway logic (to ease Ai traffic), fix small elevation issues, add an helipad and remove two others...

There're two main categories of enhancement. First, the new Cal Fire ramp that has just been totally revamped : colored taxiway lines, tanks and tub for the fire retardant (Phos-Chek)... to accommodate the residency of the new Cal Fire C130 (and Sikorsky S76i) in addition of Bronco and S-2T Tanker. It exists for only very few weeks and it was hard - from France - to collect picture. Thanks again to the local John M. for the photos. The second type of update are "details". Since this scenery first released (4th January 2022) it's and endless game. This time, I was fed up of the standard taxiway sign object (no offense, they look great!) and now you have all taxiway sign customized: the proper shape, real two-sides and details (that only make me laugh). You will also get with the 1.4 : gate sign entrance, new taxiway patches, some new updates of the real field (like the new Cal Fire entry gate), new startup position spread all around the field...

NB: the new version will still benefit from the fantastic Cal Fire aircraft (Bronco, S-2T) made by Jeremy U. creator of Hemet (KHMT). Thanks again to him!

Welcome to the new taxiway sign object. Zoom on details... just for the fun. I'm not ready to make a huge airport!

MY HERO!!

Looks GREAT and very much looking forward to this one.

Also looking forward operating AzurPolys Turbo Tracker from airfields like this 😎👍

Fantastic, where can I get it when it’s complete? I’d pay for this.

Like all the freeware, unzip the 2 folders from the . Zip and put them in your Community folder. Will update the description when able.

Thank you. I never use freeware, this is why I asked.

Oh, really? So, freeware will open a total new world to you. It's a gift on PC compared to consoles platform. There're marvelous things as well as word not allowed productions that you just have to put on your Community folder. The most difficult now is to select. Be selective and avoid filling your Community folder with thousands of stuff conflicting each other, that will slow down you MSFS launch time, that you'll never use or rarely... etc... Your next best friend in MSFS Addons Linker.

PS: I'm an amateur (passionate) developer. Search on Internet, several content creator have created their Top 10 Freeware.

Hello, I put them in my community folder and as always went to my library and did a search for this airport and there were no conflicts. Then I set my Hughes 500 there and flew around for a few minutes. I can't believe this is free. The only thing I saw that was odd was the two F-16's were pink.

Oh, my friend, PLEASE get thyself over to FlightSim.to!

The freeware scene for MSFS is astoundingly prolific and there are MANY sceneries that are truly worthwhile.
