A2A Lancair Legacy pushed back to Q3 2026

Featured Replies

Probably not a bad idea since it's raining addons and some people can't buy all of them.

More time to cook then ;)

They have some really slick looking cockpit options there.

(I added some pics since not everyone has discord)

Avidyne IFD550 (kinda cool since not many planes use it yet)

IFD550

TDS and PMS 650 or 750/650 stack with Garmin G5's - got those in the plane I fly - great avionics!

TDS

PMS

And the boomer panel LOL - I joke a little.. this would be closer to what I learned to fly in hehe - minus the fact that it's a freaking rocket!

Looking nice! Having the FSW Legacy in great shape now, I can wait in exciting anticipation for the A2A, which will of course Day 1 purchase.

Ditto. Our GA mode list looks strangely familiar!

The only one I don't have is the Bristell and the Falco

Good taste 😎

The Bristell is old (but recently updated to use the modern WT G3X). It's not particularly notable unless like me, you have time in the real Bristell. The Falco came from nowhere and flies really nicely! It desperately needs PMS/TDS GTN options though (stuck with the 430 at the mo).

That’s a shame , but more time to savour the FSW analog panel I guess, it’s flying nice now but I’d prefer it without the TV screens!

That A2A cockpit looks fantastic and I bet it will fly as good as it looks.

I look forward to flying the FSW and A2A back to back and comparing the 2.

Oh and the Falco? …real nice

Nice to see someone's gonna integrate the Avidyne unit. I've no idea how I'll feel about it compared to the Garmin 750, but I've been hoping a plane I'd want would come along that featured the it. This one should be fun.

As for the delay, if there's one attribute I've picked up as I've gotten older, it's patience. I can wait for quality.

I might bite. The Avdyne would be fun. What makes A2A planes special?

They’ve built quite an impressive reputation for physics accuracy over the last 20-ish years.

They have their own independent physics engine, called AccuSim. Now in v2 for MSFS.

Essentially, they bypass MSFS’ physics and only use MSFS for scenery and environmental effects. Weather, etc., gets passed through AccuSim and then the results affect the addon.

All completely transparent to the end user, of course.

I do encourage you to watch A2A’s own videos on YouTube - especially the ones from their Prepar3D days. Quite inspirational and informative.👍

Accuracy, flight model and just a little bit of clever marketing. Much more of a big deal 20 years ago when they were leaps and bounds above other developers. Not so much today.
