Dont use regional textures (Asia, Africa, etc.) if you dont have installed the SceneryTech landclasses. You can use the TEP base pack alone.

That's a key point. So, for someone like me that has all Orbx LC products (everywhere but Asia and Oceania), I'd only need to use the TEP basepack, and no need to download either the regional textures or the new lclookup.bgl file, right?

@Luis Hernandez Yes because regionals textures are made to work only with the SceneryTech landclass. You can use the new lclookup because it works with TEP. Read the install because with Orbx the lclookup is also in the library and takes priority on the scenery/base file.

I wouldn't replace the ORBX lclookup.bgl if I were you. It is specially modified to work with ORBX textures, so if you're using ORBX global base scenery, a different lclookup file will mess that up. I don't know if it affects ORBX openLC.

You can certainly back up the ORBX lclookup.bgl and install Aime's, but I'm betting ORBX covered areas won't look right.

Comparison between Orbx's lclookup and mine. As you can see, the patchwork effect is very pronounced. The new lclookup significantly reduces this effect, which ruins my work on textures.

Regarding the new lclookup.bgl: If you don't want to modify the one from the Orbx addons and if you are using SceneryTech's landclasses, you can copy it into the scenery folder of the landclasses. This way, nothing will be changed for Orbx. The file will only be active for the affected landclasses.

When trying to extract Asia.002, Africa.002 and India Pacific.002 as well as TEPv4.7zip 002-003 and 004 I am getting following error :

"Error in archive file".

All other files e.g. v.001 can be extracted without problem.

Any idea ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, first don't use default unzio software. Use bandizip or 7zip. Only unzip the first file : the other files are linked to the 001.

Hi

Thank you for the info. One more question:

where do I place the TEP_Asia_for_ScTech_Landclass.7z.002 (TEP_Asia.001 texture folder is extracted into ScTech Lanclass AS folder) and the

3 TEPV4.7z.002-003-004 will they remain in the TEPv4 folder where TEPV4.001 is already extracted ?

Hi, when the zip file is split into parts 001, 002, etc., you only need to extract part 001 using Banditzip or 7-Zip (not the Windows software, which can cause errors). The parts following 001 will be automatically extracted. Therefore, you must wait until all parts have been downloaded before extracting.

For the install of Asia for sceneryTech LC, you have a video in the zip file.

For TEP v4, If you have an older version of TEP, you must delete it. Do not simply copy and paste the new files onto the old version.
