Why isn’t Honda included? Never had any issues with a 17 year-old Civic hence why I bought the Civic e-hev hybrid. Consistently good reviews both sides of the pond.

Ray is correct. Honda's are famous for reliability. Great cars.

My daughter has just bought a Lexus LBX. And me a Toyota Aygo Cross hybrid. Both fantastic cars that share the same hybrid transmission.

10 year warranty if you dealer service and 15 year warranty for the traction battery.

This is my first car for 7 years, it's nice to be mobile again. And I must say that it's suprising how much the tech has advanced, with Toyota "safety sense" doing all manner of clever things, like auto braking if it thinks you are about to hit something, blind spot warning, and even warns you and gently encourages you back into your lane. Driver monitor system too, if you are not paying attention.

I think he was referring to just the US dependability study. JD Power is country specific, not global.

My car is a 2003 Honda CR-V, except for the air conditioner, front struts, and an oxygen sensor, all of it's repairs have been to replace things that wore out at or beyond their life expectancy. It still runs and drives great, but age is becoming a problem. The paint has failed, but it can be repainted. The big problem will be when replacement parts become unavailable. Fortunately, the CR-V, especially the first and second generations, were incredibly popular and Honda sold tons of them, so there is strong parts support from the companies that made OEM parts as well as aftermarket sources.

Hondas are very popular among car thieves in the U.S. :-) Here in Northern Virginia, we used to have nighttime raids targeting Hondas—everything from wheels and tires to airbags

My source was Google search AI, I asked it for the Consumer Reports list of cars with fewest repairs as reported by readers of that magazine.

To get the official list, Consumer Reports magazine does a very large annual readers survey article about reliable cars in one month's issue of every year. It takes an online or mailbox subscription to CR to see the full genuine article.

Sounds like an American magazine. Surprised Honda was below Toyota. One of their EVs is having problems with the 12v battery draining in a couple of weeks. Customers are not amused. UK, perhaps not US.

  I was only interested in pickup trucks which I would then add an inexpensive camper shell onto to create a cheap SUV. Toyota was way out in front when it came to pickups, not even close (this was in 1997).

That may explain the difference between those and family saloons (sedans). Not many people in England have pickup trucks. The SUVs are bad enough.

We have two Hondas, a 24 and 25 Civic and Accord Hybrid - love them both, though the Civic is MUCH larger than the old Civics we had.

My Accord (“Creampuff”) gets excellent mileage, much better than the non-hybrid (turbo) Civic - but both very nice.

Drove a Camry hybrid for a week as a rental and liked that too and it also sipped fuel.
