Sometimes it's two steps forward, one step back, but it's constantly being worked on by the main dev in almost every update (the other dev, part time, does all the VFR stuff). Thanks, I noticed that it’s been a bit up and down recently with the occasional regression, but overall it’s really impressive to see how far BATC has come.Do you think we’ll ever get 24 hrs historic live traffic with navigraph, like we do for weather? I usually fly real scheduled flights when I have the time, so virtually never have the sim time match real time, but a 24 hrs historic live traffic feature would be incredible and fix that.

It then gave me vectors with various off-plan speeds and it worked like a champ - intercepted the LOC/GS perfectly.Same with me, plenty early heads up as to which runway and star the just about the time I'm ready to call out for lower I get a decent clearance to certain flight level...or via STAR alt points. Not a problem here.

At the same time, we wouldn’t have expected live traffic either before so who knows! But that would be a discussion between Navigraph and FR24, we’re not in the equation. It always has been for me but it's been probably a year since I used it maybe it's improved, but probably doubtful. At some level what I'm hearing here is BATC becomes kind of ambience since often people ignore its descent instruction. For me, that really what it is, ambience. What are the main benefits of the new traffic w/ BATC requiring the Navigraph Ultimate? Right now I'm still using old FSLTL w/o the subscription. I did increase the FPS in the BATC options from 36 to 72 which probably helped as well. I find FSHud a bit too rigid (after using PF3 for several years) and CPU-heavy and I'm looking for options. If you just had FSLTL models do you know if if would still be smooth? I'll try turning their traffic on next time up, but I'm not using Ultimate as I just have the AIRAC cycles sub. Not sure how it would become smooth as butter from its new connection to source data but you're saying it has. The other reason I don't use their traffic is that I do prefer and pay for Premium voices in BATC, and when you use BATC traffic the chatter between traffic and controllers uses up those Premium voices big time, compared to just communication with me only which is what happens when I use FSLTL's traffic injection, which also of course delivers butter smooth animation, but at a cost since it is not aware of my presence. One of things I do to add consequences to my flying is use a flight scoring app, but also I do have crash damage enabled so I have to pay attention to collision risk and manage accordingly. I've not tried FSLTL's injector. But, I'm using Gigabit Ethernet (702 Mbps download speeds while the kids are also typically streaming Netflix or Hulu on two devices at the same time) and I generally wait more than a few minutes before looking at any traffic since I always start cold and dark and am focused inside on bringing on power, aligning nav, etc.

Our friend from Norway, Cpt Piett, said he never noticed this until I showed him a video, at which point he noticed this low quality animation in his own use of BATC. I'm just starting a fly from LIPZ>EBBR w/ BATC traffic and will see shortly if this persists. I've got high bandwidth internet as well.Shortly: at LIPZ, just one plane taxiing to parking, and one plane landing on 4R, and both were very smooth, so hopeful. I say that because there were times in the past when animation was smooth, but more often than not, herky jerky. We'll see on the arrival side how things are. Of note, using FSLTL much more traffic parked, taxiing and flying in and out. I have BATC parking at 10, other sliders at 5. Hopeful though ;o)Well, not so much. At arrival, back to jerky animation of a plane landing, then taxiing. It's not bad as long as you don't look too closely 😉 Edited Friday at 02:54 PM5 days by Noel NoelSystem: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.Aircraft used in MSFS 2024: Fenix A320, Aerosoft CRJs, I-Fly 737 MAX 8, PMDG 777-200LR, Citation Longitude.
