How is this different from SoFly's Ecosoundscapes?

✈️ What EcoSoundscapes does at airports

EcoSoundscapes adds light, general airport ambience as part of its global environmental sound layer.

You typically get:

  • Soft terminal murmur

  • Occasional PA announcements

  • Light vehicle noise

  • Subtle airside ambience

  • A “generic airport atmosphere”

Its airport audio is:

  • Low‑intensity

  • Broadly applied (same ambience across many airports)

  • Designed to blend with nature sounds

  • Not tailored to airport operations

EcoSoundscapes is built as a worldwide ambience enhancer, not an airport‑specific sound overhaul.

🛫 What Airport Alive does differently (and more deeply)

Airport Alive is airport‑exclusive and focuses entirely on making airports feel busy, human, and operational.

It adds:

  • Frequent, varied PA announcements (boarding, delays, safety, gate changes)

  • Crowd density changes depending on time and location

  • Ground service vehicles (tugs, belt loaders, GPU units, fuel trucks)

  • Jetway mechanical sounds

  • Ramp worker chatter

  • Airside machinery hum

  • Interior terminal ambience with layered crowd noise

  • Localized sound zones (gates, baggage claim, check‑in, airside, landside)

Airport Alive’s airport audio is:

  • High‑density

  • Highly varied

  • Operationally detailed

  • Location‑specific

  • Designed for airliner immersion

EcoSoundscapes gives you “an airport vibe.” Airport Alive gives you “a living airport.”

No idea, but other of their packages have the option to do so. Beside that we have multiple sliders in the MSFS menu for sound so you can adjust them to your liking.

As soon as I parked the 737 and turned off the engines, the terminal sound came to life before the passengers even left the plane. Again, way too loud and of course you can adjust the sound down in MSFS, but then you lose a lot of other things too.

No option to turn down the sounds in the app like in their other packages ?

If so you better ask SoFly about it.

Sounds about right for a product from them unfortunately.

Yeah, totally realistic to hear the distant spool up of a departing plane but visually nothing on the runway. Thanks, but no...

I tried all the settings in msfs, but none had any effect on the volume

This was my thought too. If the sounds aren't associated with the things that are supposed to be making those sounds, then it's not going to bring the airport alive, it's just going to make the airport feel more fake.
