Yesterday at 12:07 PM1 day Pretty excited for this one, lots of great regional and remote flying opportunities with the Dash 8, even if it’s not a Q400.Air Nova and Air Atlantic used to fly a bunch of short, 30 minutes or shorter routes with these in my neck of the woods that aren’t flown any longer…hope they are included in the repaints. 20 hours ago20 hr Where is majestic q400? They need to hurry up as Miltech might have been working on the q400 under the hood as they already have access to pal q400 and they said they will not rule that out. The screenshots look pretty good.

Even Jul update they came up was just some early renders along a video of virtual cockpit with fsx/p3d era graphics. With this pace they can't keep up. Good to see Miltech is jumping in. Bigger developers line ini or Fenix can milk q400 cow as there is none for 2020 and 24.
17 hours ago17 hr Hopefully the Q200/Q300 is a huge success for them and they are enticed to do the Q400 next. MT aren’t yet in that league, IMHO. It should be gorgeous in terms of modeling, but their flight models leave quite a lot to be desired so far. The DHC’s have rather notoriously difficult flight models (and are notorious IRL, too).I applaud them for taking this one on, tho, esp since Majestic is obviously apathetic about bringing their Q to MSFS. No matter really, the FJS one for XP12 is an excellent replacement.

This project, revealed in a roadmap video in early July 2026, targets the "steam-gauge" generation of the aircraft, featuring an analogue flight deck with the UNS-1 navigation system. The developer will not be producing the modern Dash 8-400, distinguishing their offering from other upcoming simulators like those from Miltech Simulations. The SimWorks version is designed to replicate the original DHC-8 family's rugged, high-altitude operational capabilities, with a release window targeted for late 2026.”SWS has been doing a fairly good job with their flight models lately (I personally enjoy the latest Kodiak v2, at least). So if I had to bet, the SWS will handle better than the MilTech. But MilTech is doing some interesting variants on the .mil side.Of note, I saw a snippet that says MilTech is working with FSS on this, so not sure how that might work out…?MilTech recently said they’re amenable to the -400 since their partnership with PAL gives them access to -400’s, info, & people.BUT that will be a follow on to and separate product from the Classics.Who knows, maybe I’ll split the difference and get the MilTech U-2 spy plane and the SWS Dash 8. Depends how they turn out I guess 🤷♂️ Edited 7 hours ago7 hr by UrgentSiesta
