  1. I recommend you use PoolSize=0 under [bUFFERPOOLS], with that system you're gonna get a 30% improvement guaranteed. So..is it UsePools=0 or PoolSize=0 ? Thanks
  2. So are you still using UT2 (with new WOAI aircraft assignments) or have you switched to another AI engine ? Thanks
  3. Look at the tags.... :-) Got lost of it actually...the AI list only reaches B737-300s :-) Just this angle had them somewhat concealed...
  4. Late afternoon 26L approach over BCIT campus building.... Thanks for looking
  5. Much improved screenshots compared to what you used to post. Good work ! Keep them coming...
  6. My personal subjective opinion : AU - fantastic PNW - very good EU ENG - visibly under par but still very good. My layman's eye struggles to find much difference between FTX Global and this package. Don't ask me why.... And yes...Orbx CAN make big sceneries with great FPS - try their Cairns YBCS. And Melbourne YMML is still very good considering the complexity. Just my 2 cents
  7. I get OOMs regularly when I am at CYVR. Reducing my TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 to TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 makes it go away. The T7 is the only add-on that OOMs on me at CYVR. If PMDG could provide some optimized textures that would be great. But like somebody said : it is a sum total of everything you run in FSX. You cannot blame the T7 - that much beauty comes at a VAS price. I cannot help thinking that a 2D panel with an option to not load the VC would likely go a long way towards reducing OOMs.... :-) I can dream - I am aware that it will not happen.
  8. Title says it all. I also re-downloaded the latest installation from the Carenado site today. I presume it also includes SP2 in it (links to SP1 and SP2 show "Exp"). Reinstalled everything but still no luck....weather does not display in VC. Thanks
  9. Yes, it helps. Thanks. No more alerts displaying.....
  10. I have seen the cabin pressure control. I know where that is. And yes, I searched the forums. Guess hardly anybody flies this over 10000ft cruise so the topic has not been brought up. Yes, below the scale are two knobs....for rate of change (left one) and cabin pressure (right one). Can you tell me what I need to do to set for a 29000ft cruise ? I get the red warning lights at around 11000 ft already.... Thanks
  11. Is there a way to move them together ? I currently move them one by one...creates a lot of yaw as you can imagine .... Thanks
  12. How do I set cabin altitude to over 10000 ft... ? That is as far as I can go...!? Thanks
  13. Figured out that if I start with prop controls at feather torque stays below 600-500....guess I will just do it this way...Thanks for the feedback.
  14. Thanks for looking
  15. When I start the engines torque goes way into 1400plus..After a while it settles down to 200s and 300s. on idle. I am presuming this is normal. If not, what can I do to avoid this ? Thanks
  16. My experience is that it creeps based on heading....if you slew on the spot you will see it happen. When you do a full circle it comes back to where you started from.
  17. Some of you may know that I have been a very staunch supporter of 2D panels. My main two reasons for avoiding using the VC was the performance hit as well as what I perceived a lack of attractive texturing for VCs. Getting nauseated moving around the VC did not help either. I have been lucky enough to be able to buy a new PC with a 4th generation CPU (i4770K) that I now run stably at 4.5GHz. At the same time the new T7 was released. Now there - finally - was an attractive VC that could compete (and beat) the best 2D panels ever made. Since I find using the VC a tad nauseating I used Live Camera Views from Opus to set fixed views. I made them instant switchable - so there is no panning between views. They now effectively behave exactly like 2D panels. I am now ready to give VC a prime spot in my FSX experience. Long time coming. Goodbye 2D - you have been a good friend over the last 10+ years. I realize this is nothing really new. Having said that, here is my latest FSX office....hope you enjoy.... Thanks for looking
  18. Yes, I can see FSXSERVER.CMD with keystrokes listed. But once I exit out of that view the settings are lost. What is the name of the file that supposedly has the offsets ?
  19. Tried using the shortcuts. They do not stick. How do assign offsets that "stick" ?
  20. Are the temporary offsets available to us ? Can they be used in full-screen ? Can you quickly either describe what needs to be done or point me to a page in the documentation ? Thanks
  21. Is there any way to use LCC in full-screen mode eg. build it into a window ? I find it a pain to switch between full-screen and windowed mode in FSX . . .
  22. Tried it...but using LCC does not change the view for the duration of the flight. If I switch views and come back to one where I used LCC the changes will be gone. Makes me think LCC has no really useful function... Am I missing something ?
  23. Until I got my new i4770K I was a staunch supporter of 2D panels. With the gorgeous T7 two things occurred for me: VC graphics have completely caught up with 2D graphics (T7 is gorgeous) I can run the VC without FPS issues As I have the Opus weather add-on I configured FIXED VC views that behave pretty much exactly like 2D panels. No more nausea. Having said that I think that it would not cost developers that much more to develop basic 2D panels. Just one 2D panel for takeoff and approach would be sufficient. Most people have hardware good enough for cruise flight in a VC. But I fully understand the pain of those of you that cannot get the latest hardware. Thanks
