I'm all in for a Spirit of St. Louis. It would be great for those who like to do long hauls.

Anchorage to Honolulu should be doable because it's all downhill, right? -
My favorite DC-3 has been FS9 R4D model from Mid-Atlantic Air Museum,. There's a FSX version but I haven't tried it. The Uiver DC-2 is worth a look

If you want something unusual, with a lot of history behind it, try the Aerosoft PBYCatalina X.

I know that there is a utility that will let me close unneeded processes at FSX startup to free up memory, but I can't find it in the library. Can anyone give me vectors to it? Thanks

I agree. The Cardinal has a very distinctive panel configuration which this Flight 1 model ignores. It looks like they just pulled something together from the Cessna 172/182 parts bin. They really missed one of the most unique aspects of the 177.

I'd like to see some of the developers or retailers coming out with specials on the 29th. -
Has anyone tried the KC Pilot Shop Evektor SportStar? I wanted a nice LSA. The SportStar has a good flight model and excellent graphics. The only problem I have is that the attitude indicator appears to be reversed. In a climb the horizontal line is below the horizon. In a descent, it is above the horizon. Is there a bug in my install?Do Czech aircraft use a different attitude indicator than the US standard? Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience with the KC Flight Shop Evektor SportStar?

I purchased the JS4100 version 1.00.0970 in September 2009. I'm trying to rebuild my FSX installation but don't have a copy of the authentication email. Can I get a replacement authentication code?I tried to submit a support ticket but the system will not accept a support ticket without an Order ID.ThanksKevin J. Clark

Try Historic Jetliners Group. I don't know how much they have for FSX but they're a great resource for early jetliners.http://www.simviation.com/hjg/main.htm

Great videos. What is the audio track in the KSEA video?

Thanks for your quick response. ...that's a nice tutorial. I partitioned and formatted the drive in another machine. My problem occurs after I select Custom Install. There's a single partition and on the install screen it shows as "Disk 0 Partition 1". As soon as I click "Next" I get the error massage and can't get any further.

I'm finishing a new build with an Asus P8P67 Deluxe, 2600K processor and 4 GB Mushkin Redline 996805 RAM. I'm unable to install WIN 7. Getting a "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing partition..." I'm trying to install on a new, formatted WD Caviar Black drive. I have the 1502 BIOS set to defaults and reduced the RAM to a single 2 GB stick. I've tried different drives and SATA ports but get the same message. I've tried a Microsoft upgrade DVD and an DVD with an iso obtained from Microsoft. Do I need a driver? How could I get or install one? I've Googled the error message. It shows up, mostly in relation to Vista installs and I haven't seen any solution. Any suggestions? I'm beginning to proceed VFR into IFR conditions, and you know that never works out well. Help!

I have FSGenesis for FSX and couldn't be happier. The resolutions vary with geographic area and the pricing is excellent, especially if you get one of the memberships, which I highly advise. Good stuff and Justin, who runs the shop is there if you have a problem. Go for it.
