  1. Also, try this program and see if helps. It used to be called Gauges and effects recovery. It should work in 3.2. https://www.dropbox.com/s/kb3a1f324e2vw70/gauges_effects_recover.zip?dl=0 Here's part of the readme 'Gauges Effects Recover 2.0 (formerly Gauges Recovery v1.2) For FS2004, FSX, FSX-Steam, P3D v1.4 and P3D v2.5 New in version 2.0 : Restoration is now compatible with all flight simulators based on Microsoft Flight Simulator, added DLL fix DESCRIPTION: This program RESTORE the original files of Gauges and Effects folders of your flight simulator. Compatible: - Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - Microsoft Flight Simulator X (any version) - Microsoft Flight Simulator X Steam Edition - Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v 1.4 - Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v 2.5 Gauges Effects Recover is very useful in case of instability of your simulator and allows you to avoid having to reinstall the game if you are missing some files.' Cheers
  2. Is it anything to do with the Captain Sim Flights. Have a look in your documents folder and see if there is a FSX or P3d folder with Captain Sim flights for the tutorials. I seem to remember having a similar problem recently. If there are, these need to go in the P3D (whatever version your using) folder. Or just delete them and then try the reset as above again. Pete
  3. Taken from a Facebook Group I'm with. Solution for the Prepar3D V3 Default.fxml failed to load Delete these 3 files and then try to start P3D again 1)Go to START and type %LOCALAPPDATA% then choose Local, then open Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D V3 and delete this 2 files 2)Prepar3D_Default.fxml 3)Prepar3D_Default.wx 4)Then go to C:\Users\owner\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 and delete this file 5)Prepar3D.cfg 6)Start P3D V3 Hope its of some help.
  4. My Only suggestion is to use the new installer. http://reshade.me/ It's so simple to use and works flawlessly with P3D. If you need a hand setting it up give us a shout. Pete
  5. Hamoody. Have you tried the newest installer reshademe? Heres the link http://reshade.me/ Run it, search for your P3D install exe and change it from DX9 to DX11. then tweak and adjust using the tabs for each shader you want to use. Pete
  6. I'm not an expert in this but here is how I have set my throttle and reverser up using fsuipc. I first set my reverse to a button using FSUIPC BUTTONS TAB. I'm using a Saitek Throttle. Then i set my throttle to an axis via FSUIPC AXIS TAB https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=80F32F99F580E37E!2782&authkey=!AOSLsDm_3jIagzU&v=3&ithint=photo%2cJPG https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=80F32F99F580E37E!2781&authkey=!AGPxf5w20U-Amrg&v=3&ithint=photo%2cJPG https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=80F32F99F580E37E!2783&authkey=!AEZO0OYf4gcbVTI&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg

  9. Hi Ralph. Approx how long to get approval for the forum? I have registered and I'm awaiting approval. Don't want to sound impatient and appreciate you will have a lot on. Regards Pete
  10. Maarten. You mention DSR in Windows 10. I have it selected in the Nvidia control panel and normally see smaller text when its working in P3d. Thats what I used to observe in Windows 7. However, I am not getting that with 10 so wondering if DSR is actually working. I am using the latest Nvidia driver on GTX 970 Cheers Pete
  11. Hi All. When I had Win 7 installed and used DSR via the Nvidia Control panel it worked brilliantly. Set it to 4x and although the text was small the AA was greatly improved. Since clean installing Windows 10 I haven't had the same success. It shows up in the control panel and in the resolution in P3D. However when using a higher resolution nothing changes. Are we aware if DSR is fully functional using Nvidia and its latest drivers and P3D. (I have a GTX 970) Cheers Pete
  12. Or you could try this http://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-releases-tool-to-hide-or-block-unwanted-windows-10-updates/
  13. I will try and find the post were i downloaded it from but in the meantime https://www.dropbox.com/s/la6ov25ncuhxjph/EZCA_1186.zip?dl=0 Pete Its on this post about half way down. http://www.simforums.com/forums/why-doesnt-work-worldcamera_topic51364.html?KW=18%2E6
  14. I've been using the 1.18.6 version and the problem still persists. I have created a shortcut on the desktop and run it after P3d has started. Not ideal but a workaround. Pete
  15. Mike that a really useful document to have and I have downloaded it and saved it. Will send a copy to my brother as he has just converted to P3D from FSX. Thanks very much for the time and effort. Pete
  16. A Lot depends on the monitor you have. Your best best bet is to look at http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/ and see if anything there grabs your attention. Use the settings in the ones you like by adjusting them in your mastereffect.h file. It will be a matter of trial and error. At least it works now.
  17. Hi There. Make sure you have nothing in your P3D folder related to SweetFX or Reshade. Delete everything related to them. Download this and drop all the files in your P3D Folder. This is what I use.You then open the mastereffect.h file with notepad or something similar and tweak like you would sweetfx. The Space-bar is use by default to turn them on/off. https://www.dropbox.com/s/b41xv3mzf660e30/mastereffect%2BReShade.rar?dl=0 Let Me Know if it works.

Hope it helps
  19. Again, did you restart after installing all three in that order? Other than that, can you uninstall and reinstall the airbusx, rebooting after each one if you have both variants. Then do the simconnect files. Thats what worked for me. ^_^
  20. Just adding my two cents worth.. I have had similar problems but all was fine after following this link... http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/85495-black-screen-and-side-stick-not-working/ Regards Pete
  21. Hi erich. Try these two helpful topics for starters http://forum.avsim.net/topic/459901-working-effective-p3d-v24-performance-tweaks/ http://forum.avsim.net/topic/459884-optimum-nvidia-cp-settings-p3d-24/ I've found them very useful for graphics settings with Nvidia. Regards Pete
  22. Brilliant. Thanks a million guys. Really helped a lot and have now got it working as i think it should. Just need to master the Local and Global Switch thing now. Pete
  23. Thanks a lot. Just trying to get to grips with it. Will try those as suggested and report back when done. Thanks again. Pete
  24. Hi all. I'm new to LINDA and have so far managed to program the default FSX assignments for my Saitek Yoke/Throttles and Switch Panel. I am however coming a little stuck when it comes to assigning profiles to other aircraft. I have loaded the PMDG 777-300 and have again set some assignments to it. How to i go about using those assignments on the 777-200 and 777-F or the 737 NGX? I dont nkow whether to use copy to or create new profile. Have looked and tried to make sense of the manuals available. Hoping for some help if possible, Cheers Pete
  25. Hi Maarten. The rest bat file cleared the problem! Many Thanks for the excellent support and wonderful program. Pete
