  1. Instead of zooming try Control Enter to move viewpoint back. Worked for me
  2. I saw what you describe after updating my monitors from three 4x3 19" to three 16x9 24" monitors with a newer digital TripleHead2Go. Solution is to use designated keys combination to move view back. If I remember correctly, forward & back is Control +Enter or Backspace. I could be wrong but that is close. That fixed the problem you are facing. Good luck and enjoy!
  3. Pretty much what I thought, just looking for some confirmation. Thanks guys.
  4. I just upgraded my monitors from 3 19" 4x3 to 3 24" 16x9 and a new digital TH2Go. My other computer specs are:AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2G AM3 RT (OC'd to 3.5G)Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H AM3 AMD 880G SATA 6 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD MotherboardMemory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRLVideo Card: ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 memory 256-bit mem interface DirectX 10.1Is the 4870 a bottleneck with only 512MB of memory? Knowing that FSX is CPU intensive, is there any gain to upgrading video card? Is my main option to upgrade motherboard and CPU to something more overclockable? Not doing bad now just looking for framerate improvement.
  5. Got cable installed but nothing. After a one hour call to Matrox support and a patient tech, I got the 5760x1080 working now including FSX. I'm a happy camper except it does cripple frame rates in some cases. That's the story of computers. Upgrade this and it leads to upgrading that.
  6. I am going thru this at the moment. I ordered the digital TH2Go from NewEgg + three wide screen monitors. Had problems getting the 5760 x 1024. Called Matrox and found out the box NewEgg sent me did not have the short(24") DVI cable necessary to achieve the full resolution. Apparently, the specific 24" short cable to the TH2Go is important for the 5760 setting. It's on order and will get here the 25th. Will advise. Matrox did say the digital version was capable of the 5760 resolution and that the DP version did not gain anything on this.
  7. I called Matrox and was told I needed a specific 2 foot DVI cable to run from computer to TH2Go in order to get the full 5760x1080. It's ordered and should arrive Wednesday the 25th. Will advise results.
  8. OK, I spoke with Matrox about the TH2Go and was told the high resolution was a result of a specific DVI cable requirement. Unfortunately, New Egg did not include that particular cable when it was shipped so I'm fighting that battle now. Matrox also told me that with that cable either the Digital unit or the DP unit will provide the 5760x1024 I am seeking so the battle continues is search of proper cable.
  9. I recently upgraded from a three 4 x 3 monitor setup using an analog TH2G to the digital TH2G and three 16 x 9 monitors. About two years ago I upgraded computer to a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T with 4GB RAM but retained an older ATI 4870 x 512K video card. Knowing that FSX is not terrible dependant on video card, would there be any advantage to upgrading video card to something newer with more memory?
  10. I just updated my TH2G to the digital version and acquired 3 16 x 9 monitors. Got all three to work but only at 3840 x 1024 resolution. What is it I need to do to up the ante to get 5760 or thereabouts resolution? I've installed the monitor software as well as the TH2G software but apparently I'm missing something. Thanks in advance.
  11. As to why fly the BBJ, some of us prefer to fly boxes, some of us prefer flying hundreds of people. Others of us prefer to fly ultimate success. The ultimate BBJ is Air Force One. Search the web for Mark Tillman. He is an inspirational speaker who commanded AF1 during the Bush years. He gives a talk on the events of 9/11 and also of flying GWB into and out of Bagdad.I personally have not flown at that level but have had the CEO of a company employing 300,000 people and their families come to the cockpit and ask us if he could get us anything. To me it has been rewarding to fly some of the most successful and powerful individuals in the US if not the world. Not to take anything away from those preferring to fly groups.
  12. Problem with Citation 10 going westbound across the North Atlantic is that westbound will have headwinds and then the fact that temperatures at altitude are ISA+ meaning quite warm. I also avoid arriving in the NY Metro area on minimum fuel. I've been flying corporate jets into the NY area for twenty years.
  13. I've had the same problem. Normal takeoff climb and initial acceleration. Upon achieving 180-190 kts acceleration stops even at level flight with gear and flaps up. Changing varients returns performance to normal. Repeatable with same result. Doesn't matter if start in 600 then switch to 700 or 700 and switch to 600. Strange.
  14. I think we may be on to something here. I went into FSUIPC and set MISC menu to reload FSUIPC.INI always and it seemed to help a great deal. As a casual user, I'm not totally there but this is a great clue and workaround until something more concrete comes along. I like the PMDG product. Just need to refine some processes. Thanks, rickb1293
  15. I am relatively new to a registered version of FSUIPC. How do I reload the ini file? Thanks. We may be on to something. I'm certainly not dragging the tug.
  16. Yes, all installations went good. I've uninstalled everything, reinstalled base package, updated to SP1 and then 600/700. Power at climb N1 index, gear and flaps up at 15 degrees C with 18,000 lbs of fuel this girl should climb like a homesick angel. I've filed a ticket with the PMDG team. Hopefully, there is a gotcha solution here. I'm a casual FS user but with thousands of hours in real world corporate jets. Something is just not adding up.
  17. OK, now I'm really bummed! I properly uninstalled all PMDG products. Reinstalled basic package. Installed SP1. Installed the 600/700 package. Now all the birds are dogs. At 15 degrees C climbing out of KICT, 600 nor 800 will climb better than a piston twin. On a standard day all the PMDG birds should be climbing @ 3-4000 fpm at low altitudes and doing it at 250 knots. I'm not even close. Frustrating to say the least. I love the package but have something horribly wrong.
  18. FSX weather temps set at 15C which is a standard day. No other weather programs installed.900 climbed fine and as expected under identical conditions.
  19. Just to add to previous question, I just did a takeoff with exactly the same config in the 900 and it smoothly accelerated to 250 knots and climbed well as I expected only with prescribed climb power not firewalled. I am puzzled as to the difference. My understanding is that the 600 is a better performer.I just did same departure, same conditions, same fuel load and the 900, with normal climb power not firewalled, climbed as I expect a commercial jet to do. I am puzzled as to the difference.Conditions were:Takeoff elevation - 1330'Temperature - 15CTakeoff fuel - 18000 lbs. (not heavy at all)
  20. I have something goofy happening with my 600. I take off on a standard day @143,000 lbs. at 1300 ft. elevation, retract gear, raise flaps, limit climb to 1500 fpm and aircraft will not accelerate beyond 190-200 knots climbing through 5-6000 feet. This is with engines firewalled. I am an experienced real world corporate jet pilot so know what is reasonable. All PMDG installation is carefully completed according to PMDG recommendations. Has anyone else had this problem? I love the PMDG 737 but need to get the performance figured out.
  21. I'm having a similar problem. I've got 25 years flying real life corporate jets so the dynamics of jet flight are not foreign to me. I setup, program FMS, configure aircraft correctly, taxi out and takeoff. All is well until I get past initial climb. Gear up, flaps up, no SID limitations, weather normal, can't get bird to exceed 185-190 kts. Seems to have cropped up after installing SP1 and 600/700. Clean bird at mid fuel weights and clean @ climb power should climb like a homesick angel. What am I missing?
  22. I started a flight from Wichita, KS to Dallas Love recently and set the cost index at 30. Weather was 25C. Gear up flaps up and autothrottles set at climb power and the 600 would only climb maybe 500 ft/minute at 180 kts. A clean bird at climb power should be going through 10K climbing at 3,000+. Whats the problem?
  23. I can't get past the selection page. I click one unit and press the continue button and a message says I can't do that. Frustrating. I guess they may have server problems with onslaught of attempts to order. "Luke, listen to the Force"
  24. Is there a way to, in some way, connect by tablet to my desktop computer so I can use the tablet for my FMS?Mike
