I did when FSX was first released, the stuff from Cloud 9 is better. After I installed World I had more desert than before..

I was kind of amazed at the price after seeing the virtual cockpit shots.. I think I will pass on that one!

I was really hoping this would turn me off of buying any FSX add-ons.. Its beautiful! Now I am going to have to buy the Georender stuff.. Man!

Did you look at the one from Abacus? That one doesn't require the scenery designer to be present to run the scenery..

I can't be without my Level D 767 or my PMDG 747! I did a flight in the default 737 in FSX, doesn't even come close!In fact as I got halfway through my flight FSX CTD'd! I was so PO'D.

I am keeping FS9, in fact I hadn't planned on putting on my E6600 and was going to just keep it on my old computer.. But, after using FSX I found myself drifting back to FS9. So I put GW3 on my E6600 and OMG! A couple days later I bought another hard drive and installed a fresh copy of FS9 on it. Using FS9 with my E6600 is pure heaven! FSX does have its pluses, RIO is beautiful! But aside from tweaking it until I had a headache I just don't see myself making the move away from FS9..I was really let down on the performance issues with my computer, FSX was the sole reason I bought it and come to find out it will run it but not where I want it to..

When they updated it they just sent you a whole new copy of the game! That was nice, expensive though I bet!Part of me really wants to try the CS Shuttle, but after the whole 757 thing I just can't justify the risk.. Although I just finished up a few minutes in their C130 on FS9, I love that plane! Given FSX performance issues I think I have to take that into consideration too.

I like it, the airfields in the area nicely rendered and the scenery itself adds alot to that corner of the world. I have only spent a few hours with it, but I am happy with it and is well worth the price they are asking.. I think you can try it out first...Have a good one!Gene

Cloud 9 has some pretty nice deals, I bought their F4 Phantom for about 15 bucks and the Fly The Lakes Scenery add-on for about 9 bucks..

Multi core has been optimized in Allied Force.. I just can't understand what they were thingking, I mean we all knew what Hyper Threading was and take a look at the AMD chips... Its a no brainer...I hope the SP1 patch can solve some of the issues with performance, I have removed my Default.XML file, downloaded all of the available performance enducing files and I am able to get good performance out of FSX, but I can't help but feel that I am missing something with the sim the way it is currently.I am anxious to try an FSX 3rd party aircraft, not a port from FS9.. I think the ones ported from FS9 cause a great deal of ptoblems with the FPS... So, I fly default planes.. Though these default planes are better than FS2004's I am still left wanting more.. I do love the Maule though!

What I keep reading is how ACES had no idea what hardware would be like now, this doesn't make any sense as Falcon 4 was written with multi-core support when it was released how many years ago..Anyhow, after endless hours of tweaking I am enjoying FSX...

Frankly, with the current "backwards" compatibility I think I could do without it in future releases of FS.. I have spent more time trying to make things that are supposed to work in FSX work than I ever did with FS2004, even some products that have been patched to work with FSX..I would like to see Optimization of the current product, minus Vista and DX 10.. Simply because I am not sure I want to waste anymore money on trying to make FSX run good.

I am quite happy with FS9, haven't really looked back at FSX since I reinstalled 9 on my new computer.

Did a flight in FS9 out of PDX last night with the Flightscenery Portland in the IRIS F-14; followed a 737 Southwest Airlines out on a missed approach into PDX... It was great and the FPS, 25-35 all the time! After having spent some time with FSX now, I do like it! Its just really limited and the performance issues ruin it for me.. Though at times it sure does give you the feeling of movement, especially in the Extra...

I was going to go ahead and install it inot FSX, but I think I will wait and see what else is said.

You will like it with your new computer, I just ported FS9 over to my Core 2 machine; FS9 and the Cheyenne run really well.. On my old machine, it tanked as far as performance went... The DO 27 is awsome, I have been flying around Flight Scenery's Portland with the DO-27, my frames don't drop below 30 and all my sliders are cranked up.. Eat your heart out FSX!

I just wish someone had looked at the map program before doing the textures for FS X!

I spent a couple hours exploring portions of the west coast and found that the default lc matches better than that of the payware LC, especially when it comes to small towns.
