Well worth the outlay, and you get much more than just the speaker sounds. Well worth the outlay, and you get much more than just the speaker sounds.

Reverse Thrust
I have the Saitex X52 Pro with Thrust Reverse assigned to the "Fire D" button on the Throttle this is programmed to press F2 for Thrust reverse, I also have the Joystick Trigger second position mapped to press F1 this works fine and is quite logical as brakes are set to the first position on the Joystick Trigger is assigned to brakes so when I pull it into the second position it cancels Reverse Thrust and disarms the Autobrake and I you can continue to brake using the first position. Works OK for all my Aircraft.

Bob I actually prefer that PFPX strips out the SID & STARS as that makes it more realistic. Changes often happen right up until departure and it is a simple job to insert the relevant departure. Plus you can re use the route regularly easier as the weather may be different and use a different departure. I very rarely select the arrival STAR and RW until I know what the up to date weather is prior to arrival.

Neil You are perfectly correct. It's an age thing LOL

Rick Easily done, in PFPX you can set individual aircraft for your preference, for realism I have set the US liveried aircraft to imperial to match the default settings in the 777, saves you having to change them. Make sure the setting for the aircraft you are using are the same in both PFPX and the 777 and you should be ok. Bill Joe Yes, used Simbrief while waiting for the release of PFPX and it was ok as you say lacks the realism provided by PFPX. Bill

Rick, Sorry about the double post, bit of a issue with a brief power cut but back on now. 65k sounds an inordinate amount of fuel for a journey of around 1600 - 1700 nm I suspect you have got imperial settings confused with metric either in PFPX or the 777. I have carried out a few trans Atlantic trips using PFPX here are some of the bare bone numbers. KPAE - EGLL (Delivery flight empty) Release Fuel 66.6k kg Air Distance 4183nm EGLL - KBOS Release Fuel 103.1k kg Air Distance 5852nm EGKK - TXKS (Bermuda) Release Fuel 66.4k kg Air Distance 3202nm (higher release as nearest div is over 550nm away) This is in addition to the Tutorial as you say.

Rick Yes, it certainly was a learning curve, but after getting some advice on the support forum I really started to get to grips with it quite quickly. I did a flight from EGLL - WSSS and landed with 0.4kg of fuel more than predicted and within 6 minutes of time prediction, cant get better than that over the distance (probably lost the 6 minutes making a turn to avoid a towering column of CB dead ahead)- Honest opinion on flight planners.
I have been using vRoute for years and was fairly happy with it, but after using PFPX for only a few days I will be uninstalling vRoute. PFPX looks daunting when you start but it is very intuitive and works really well, I have been very impressed with it's accuracy on fuel burn and timings. Re Navigraph Charts they have just introduced "Charts Cloud" which subscribers get access, it effectively makes, an iPad, Tablet or Smartphone into an EFB for all charts.- Display of alternate airports
It is set up on the Fix page of the CDU.- PMDG 777 A God on FSX.
I have done the EGKK - TXKF trip twice now on the SIM. Done in RW many times. The tip on the SIM on 4 Sept was interesting landed in the middle of at Lightning Storm.- PMDG Support
I must agree the support has been amazing considering the amount of work they have had. My ticket was resolved well within 24 hours.- THANK YOU
Totally agree with everyone on this, I did suffer the little problem with obtaining the liveries through the OC initially, but this was fixed in very quick time by an update and did not spoil my enjoyment of this fantastic aircraft.- PMDG 777 GLITCH OR SOMETHING (WHY CAPS IDK)
That would be useful if the APU went US and you also lost an engine. It would keep you well supplied with "juice" to power the systems!!- First long haul NO ISSUES !
Absolutely stunning quality. Sold my CS to a LCA.- New PMDG OPS CENTER <- Friggin' Awesome! :)
Kyle Working great thanks, I am so impressed that the Tech Guys got it fixed so quickly considering how busy they would be with the release. I have every PDMG Aircraft since the B1900B & C (back in FS9) and as a testament to their quality this is the first issue I have had and it was a minor irritant as the quality of the Aircraft more than made up for the fact that I could not download the liveries. In any case you cannot see the livery while you are flying the bird and I was confident that they would get it fixed but was surprised by how quickly it happened. Made my first trip EGLL - TXKF a trip I have made on 777 (albeit a 200ER) many times including a long visit to the cockpit on one occasion (pre 9/11). I was using PFPX to plan the trip and I was impressed with that as well, (landed within 10mins of ETA and only 450kg different in the fuel prediction. Two great products that are a compliment to each other. Thanks to yourself, the beta Team, Tech Team and all at PMDG for another "game changer" of a product.- New PMDG OPS CENTER <- Friggin' Awesome! :)
Fantastic help from The guys in support in rectifying the small problem with the liveries and other service files not downloading. Now working as it should and happily installed all the liveries I want. I can see now why you guys that had it working were singing it's praises it is wonderful. so quick and seamless. Great compliment to a wonderful Flight sim.    - New PMDG OPS CENTER <- Friggin' Awesome! :)
+1- New PMDG OPS CENTER <- Friggin' Awesome! :)
it would be if it worked!! 777 is awesome though.- New PMDG OPS CENTER <- Friggin' Awesome! :)
I am the same I can now see the liveries in the OPS Centre but get the same as Luis when I try to download them.- Did I say something wrong?
