  1. Greetings All - I have maintained my "radio silence" until now regarding this aicraft. NOT ANYMORE!!!!! W-O-W!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad to hear and see that she's well into Beta testing now, and that one day (or night) fairly soon, she will be flying on my and everyone else's system. As others have said in this thread, once she's released, all other planes will be gathering dust in the hangar, at least for a while. To Robert and the entire PMDG Team - I salute you with a Bravo-Zulu to all, and I am eagerly anticipating the release of this TOTALLY AWESOME AIRPLANE!!!!!!! :( :( :( !!!!!!!! No doubt, this will be the best airliner for FSX a credit card can buy!Cheers,Jim
  2. +1 for the SuperBug...it's amazing! Shooting and trapping it with Javier's Nimitz and AI Carriers2 is a total rush, and a real test of one's abilities as an aviator. My hat is truly off to the USN and USMC folks who do it for real every day!I'm seriously considering the DCS A-10c as well...haven't yet pulled the trigger on it, but getting closer....The IRIS A-10 for FSX is also very good.
  3. I have to agree with everyone here - the SuperBug is AWESOME!!! I've been going "bug crazy" since I got both the FS9 and FSX versions, and the FSX version, along with Javier's freeware Nimitz carrier v.2, and freeware AI Carriers 2 absolutely ROCKS....shooting the cats and traps is a BLAST!!!! I can't wait for the TacPac and the Pro versions to come out!!Cheers!Jim
  4. You're welcome, and I hope you'll be able to find what you need. I have their DC-9 as well, and really like it....it's some old fashioned "steam gauge" flying, at its best.Cheeris!Jim
  5. Here is their forum link:http://forum.simflight.com/forum/102-sky-simulations-support/I don't know how good the company's responses are, though....give it a shot.Good luck,Jim
  6. Hi Folks,It's not a power save issue, as I have my system settings to always be on. The problem apparently started with Win7-64 bit, and didn't exist in WinXP Pro 32 bit, so unless/until GoFlight creates drivers to handle this situation, I'll just live with it. Everything reconnects and works correctly if I reboot my system....it is what it is.Thanks anyway,Jimps - I downloaded and tried usbdview x64...not really a help so far...
  7. Hi Everyone,Since this issue started with Win7 64 bit and was not present in WinXP Pro 32, I guess I'll just have to live with it. Everything reconnects and works correctly if I reboot my system. As for unplugging the GF modules, that's not an easy option at all because I have the full airliner setup...not worth the effort! Unless/until GoFlight creates drivers to address this issue, it is what it is.Thanks anyway,Jim
  8. Hi Everyone,I have been having a weird problem with my GoFlight hardware "disappearing" after a while in Win7 Ultimate 64 bit. I've installed the most recent GF drivers (W7-64 compatible, they claim), and it still happens. The hardware modules will just vanish from recognition by the GF Config program and by FSX/FS9, and I have to reboot my system t get them to come back. Also, sometimes the lights on various modules stop working. I have their full airliner captain setup with dual EFIS controls. Has anyone else had these problems? (I can't remember if it did this in WinXP Pro 32 bit or not....haven't used it since 11/09). Thanks for any help anyone can provide...Jim

  10. Airline Lingo....Blue juice: The water in the lavatory toilet. “There’s no blue juice in the lav.”Crotch watch: The required check to make sure all passengers have their seat belts fastened. Also: “groin scan.”Crumb crunchers: Kids. “We’ve got a lot of crumb crunchers on this flight.”Deadheading: When an airline employee flies as a passenger for company business.Gate lice: The people who gather around the gate right before boarding so they can be first on the plane. “Oh, the gate lice are thick today.”George: Autopilot. “I’ll let George take over.”Landing lips: Female passengers put on their “landing lips” when they use their lipstick just before landing.Pax: Passengers.Spinners: Passengers who get on late and don’t have a seat assignment, so they spin around looking for a seat.Two-for-once special: The plane touches down on landing, bounces up, then touches down again.
  11. OK, which choice for DirectX from the MS download site? - June 2010 DirectX SDK?February 2010 DirectX SDK (most likely not)DirectX End User Runtimes Web Installer?DirectX End User Runtimes (March 2009) Full Download? Thanks, and thanks so much for your work, Bob!!!!Jim
  12. Update - look here on HJG's General Forum for detailed instructions on using their INS:http://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=3449 Yeah, that's a very cool site!Jim
  13. Hi AL - I hope your recovery is going well! For instructions on including the CIVA INS in the CS727, go here:http://www.captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1286031420Works great! Hmmmm....I will have to play around with its INS some more....I know it's a little different from the CIVA INS that I'm used to using. (I use that in the FSX CS727, the FS9 Tinmouse, and DreamFleet's superb B727).
  14. Hey, glad to help! :) If you haven't downloaded the B727 user manuals from HJG, you can find the link to them here, towards the bottom of the page: http://simviation.com/hjg/panels/boeing.htm (It's a zipped file). They are in HTM format, and the Index.htm is the starting point file.
  15. With the HJG versions, there is a button in the middle column of buttons that allows you to toggle between normal and landing view, and the landing view works very well. The button is two small, white arrows, pointing left and right. I've never had to hide the panel to land...give it a try!
  16. I also have the CS FSX version (all three variants), and it's really good. I got it last December during their 9.99 Euro sale....great deal! It has some bugs, but overall it's an excellent plane....I hope they will update it in a future service pack to bring it up to their FSX 707 standards, or beyond.
  17. If you want a free one that's pretty decent (though not as complex), try the ones from Historic Jetliner's Group - http://simviation.com/hjg/ - they don't have a VC, though, or an APU or a complete flight engineer's panel....still fun, though. (And yes, I do wish that Flight1 & Dreamfleet would release a native version for FSX!)
  18. Yes, I echo everything said about this plane - it's great! I do hope an FSX version of it will come to fruition.
  19. Yup, I fly it fairly often....love the older jets, as it takes me back to when I flew on them during the 60s for family vacations over spring break (KBWI-KMIA - BWI was Friendship Airport in those days). Eastern Airlines was the airline of choice, and most often it was a B727 or DC-9...great planes, and a superior airline at the time!(I love the Capt. Sim FSX versions of the B727 and most recently their B707, too! Their FS9 versions are good, but their FSX versions are awesome!)
  20. Just got back in....will try test flight now....
  21. I cannot access their website now...I was able to buy/download/install the plane, but now I cannot access the airsimmer site to activate it....anyone else having problems reaching their site today??
  22. Hi Paul - you'll have to pony up the $$ for the FSX version from Flight Sim Labs: http://www.flightsimlabs.com/interfaces/goflight-mcppro-fsx/It's worth it, and if you have the EFIS controls, it supports full functionality of those as well, even if you have both left and right - you can set each one independently of the other.
  23. Nice work, MrSkyGuy! Thank You! And just a quick note for anyone else who may have the GoFlight MCP Pro - it works with this mod when you leave the GF config MCP set to "FS Default". I'm looking forward to your version 2 as well!
