    Anything (last year's rule) that fit in underneath 350ktas is acceptable. That said... barring some special category / event, doubtful it will be used as it just hasn't the speed necessary for a racer. Would be good Leon if you flight tested it... find the Altitude where you get best KTAS in level flight, full fuel. You can use AFSD to aid you to 'get the numbers' during testing.

    Dang Jeff, Maybe you could stick a stock cooler on the cpu, then try to get into the BIOS and reset to the default settings and see if it posts?

If you will, please read the posts I have made in the following thread: New RTRW Racers Info - 2013-14 For the past year or two, the Race Committee has posted a Whitelist of Race Aircraft. I have updated the above thread to now show the Whitelist for the 2013 RTWR Race Eligible Aircraft to give you a good idea of what aircraft are typically used. Any other questions, please let us know.

    You could try this mod by Jivko Rusev: http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=new+realistic+hud&categoryId= It's very easy to just drop the couple files in the Panel folder. Just remember to backup the panel.cfg (renaming to panel.cfg.bak will work) It uses the standard FSX Bendix / King avionics stack and adds another popup switches panel. As far as speed hold, the autopilot uses v/s, of course, not speed... but this gets you "close".

    +1 Way too much (as if any is ok) of that goes on here at AVSIM... people regurgitate what they see on another forum or site and use that as if they are speaking from some position of experience or authority. Hasse... I think I can safely say many of us sincerely appreciate you sharing your experience and findings (results) with us. Thanks.
