  1. You sky kings that have the p-12 ---when you start it up, mine is set so if i have the throttle closed like normal well this little beast and also the Kodiak Quest which have the same engines shell 'go into reverse trust, so before i use it as i always and i mean always start my sim with the default Cessna then go to what ever plane i choose to fly. So i set my throttle ---precision flight controls- about an inch up off the stops, so when she starts she don't back up .Just wondering if any body else has this problem. Also the brakes are real fiece, the brake scolar is set to 1.25 and i don't want to play with it cause i don't know what i'm doing so does the brake scalar setting have any bearing on how the brakes respond? Might as well post here cause i always get a smart and accurate answer here Thanks
  2. I've had both and there both good . I wore the Ch right out , and now have the saitek just to try some thing different . But if you do get the Ch take it apart and you'll see 2 springs in there take one out and go to Napa or where ever and get stronger springs to put in so you get more push feel i what i did .
  3. Very well said and deserved, and it's not like they got rich on the hours they spent ,there all very talented . I know myself i hardly fly jet's any more cause the scenery these guys made tweaks and all i'm down to low and slow. We better throw Pete Dowson in there the FSUIPC guy . Louis
  4. That's exactly why i have NOT bought it yet cause i pretty well know if it's like every thing else a guy has to go to collage to learn how to conf. and set it up and of course that is never mentioned . But i just now seen a U-tube video of getting it ready so i'll keep checking and if they have this kind of support i'll buy but till them i don't need the frustration.
  5. I did what ping pong did and had good results but don't think for a min. your gonna go that route and get it done in 30 min. i paid him 80 bucks i think and was some thing like 8 to 10 hours mabye more to set it up ..He will want to know every thing about your rig and i mean every thing so get a pen and write every number you see on your components. He'll contact you through msn and you will have to book an appoint ment . I feel your pain about being fed up trust, me that's why i paid to get it done. And if your not to to good on computers get some one with you who is cause he make you go into places that you never existed . Louis
  6. Man every time i s watch a video from this jigsaw guy i just shake my head , like this guy should be working for Spielburg in Hollywood. I watch every thing that i see his name on .Louis
  7. Your a heck of a good writer and i like the way you really explain things. Conviced me to go try it :(
  8. Ummm good replies and i'll try the tutorial as i never seen that one before. Thanks Louis
  9. No i don't have any thing assigned in FSUIPC - the control spike thing , yes i do .Maybe i didn't explain myself right. It's not in all the aircraft. The level d is fine, The free Milton Shupe Beech 18 is great and so on and i know that the default Lear jet in flight sim for me is way too twichy but my friend flies one in real life and said it's the same. I just bought the Quest Kodiak and it's a real nice machine but in THAT one only i would like to make the yoke a bit more heavy . I really think that i will have to go in FSUIPC and change just what ever aircraft i want but i dodn't know how to do it . Thanks Louis
  10. Yes i have the reg. version but unless i have specific instructions how to do it i'm not cause it will be just my luck that i'll have the whole works x threaded.
  11. Is there any way to cfg.. an air file so the yoke is not so twichy?
  12. Is there a way to cfg.. an air filr so the yoke is not so twitchy?I'm running a precision flight control yoke and i like some feel when i hand fly. Like if you fly the default Lear jet man you just touch the yoke and she goes all over the place .. Mind you i don't use it but that's what i'm talking about, so twitchy. . I fly the free Beech 18 from Milton shupe and she hand flies real nice and i just bought this Kodial-- quest , beautyfull little machine but again real twichy. Is there a way to make it more heavy on the controls. Don't get me wrong cause i know some are like that in real life but i really would like to have more feel and more weight on some of my planes.--- Thanks Louis- BCNorth 2488
  13. I'm exactly the same as you, all i care about is the model and the panel. I don't have it but i have had the Level d since it first came out, what almost 10 years ago or not far from it .I'm waiting for the 57 from level d . I have 2 friends who know their stuff in flight sim and have both versions- capt sim and level-d and both say that the capt sim 57 is real good if that helps .
  14. Pretty have to say like a lot -- do you like Chev, or are you a Ford guy sort a speak-- tough call . If your fussy like me, have fun - i take then out as fast as i put them in. You gotta get the Maam Dc3 there bud- unreal this thing, and on floats every thing i've tried comes out of the water like it seen Angelina Jolie in a tight pair of jeans but they spent countless hours getting this bird to perform properly. And she lifts off smooth as silk then you can go to the "free stuff " on the Maam site and get the 2 panels by Norm Hancock and put them in. Also i've been checking out the Real Air ---The Duke- from what they say she flies by the numbers real well and the virtual is highly up to snuff, i'm just waiting for the update to come out here shortly then i might go for that one .
  15. When i 1st read about Sprit flyer spending 20 hours on tweaking i just shook my head and said' holly molly' this new Orbx and new scenery is shinning a whole new light on our simming future and tweaking with what's coming out . This is just the begining and i'm sure Orbx will be available in time to cover all America and more.
  16. I keep reading about this frame limiter - what's that all about - you go to display and lock your frames at what ever you want- unlimited-- 30 - 40 or what ever you like isn't that good enough - cause i'm lost on this one :( . Louis
  17. Very impressed with your work on that there smart guy. Not very often i sit and watch a whole video cause they pan way too fast and jurky but a pile out there can learn from the way you pan.Was gonna ask you where you got your Cessna and it looks like it's from Carenado cause i have the Cessna 210 from there and i fly it in real life but don't like it from Carenado but mabye i should try the one you have, and again real fine job on the ---one of the best i've seen .----Louis --Alberta Canada--- bcnorth 2488
  18. Yes a real good post and well said, but all kidding aside there have been more then one marriage go on the rocks cause of too much time on the sim.I read on our CVA virtual forum once - a guy said watch you don't tell too many on how many hours you spend on the sim in case it winds up in a divorce court :( You can say what you want but man does time fly when your simming, testing and tweaking and what not.
  19. Thanks guys -i'll give it a shot and i know about North west --thanks again---Louis
  20. Man i love this pain job but look at it :( -- i have windows 7 -fsx the default paint job is ok. just the prop and the tires.
  21. Now were talking --when all fails read the instructions but can't find the book of course -- Thanks a bunch
  22. No not it either man i wish i would of wrote it down - you almost need it when your in a tail dragger like i fly a lot ---milton shupes's Beech 18
