  1. Thanks Rayan and Jeroen, the check list is most helpful. I will use it tonight as the RealAir Legacy is now my favourite aircraft in P3DV3.1.
  2. I'm in for an updated RealAir Spitfire, we really need one in P3DV3:)
  3. Many thanks to you Rob and your colleagues for the wonderful V2 Legacy for P3DV3. I've been so long without the original Legacy as I gave up on FSX some time ago. Just had to try it at the new amazing Meigs Field, what a fantastic combination:)
  4. Jeroen, I love reading your posts as you have such a way with words which many times express my own feelings/opions. The joy of lower settings is so true with Oculus Rift DK2. When I dial down the settings to obtain 75 fps although the graphics would not be acceptable using a monitor the resultant immersion is unbelievable. The smoothness of apparent, but virtual, flight is something to behold and I can only say to myself, as I sit looking around the cockpit and the world outside, "Wow, this is truly amazing, is it not real!". I gave up TrackIR some time ago but appreciate your love of using it. I guess you have not yet experienced Oculus Rift, which is a major game changer in flight simming, but when you do I will very much look forward to reading your posts. Role on CV1:)
  5. Before you spend any more money on bigger/better monitors I recommend that you try and experience FSX/p3d on an Oculus Rift as I am sure that it will change your perception of the future of flight swimming. I have tried large screens, multi- screens and TrakIR and there is simply no comparison, but you just have to experience it for yourself.
  6. Excellent post Peter, I confirm word for word what you have said and I just cannot now go back to my dual FLAT screen setup and I will live with the current limitations as the experience will dramatically improve. As you say it is difficult to describe except to say that if anyone wants to really experience flying then this is a must have. It also makes flying so much easier as it is a total immersion 3D, 360 degrees full size image world. My favorite at the moment is the Spitfire; who would have thought that it would be possible to really experience this:)
  7. I can only add that I am a true believer in OR for FSX/P3D. You just cannot explain what this software and Oculus Rift archives; it can only be experienced. Although the quality of the OR display is limited at the moment, the immersive experience more than compensates and you really believe that you are flying. No multi screen display can come anywhere near it as you can look round 360 degrees and see the world perfectly. When CV1, the consumer version, is released early next year, and FlyInsideFSX is officially released for both FSX and P3D then this will be a a complete game changer for the flight sim community. I am a backer of the Kickstarter campaign and hope that others will come on board.

  9. This project is going to be a game changer. I have backed it for both FSX and P3D because although I am a P3D man the developer Daniel Church is currently focusing on FSX although he has just now confirmed that the P3D alpha version will be available to backers the end of this week. I have tried the FlyInside FSX with my unused FSX SE and the result is staggering, the immersion is so realistic you really feel that you are flying. I installed my RealAir Spitfire and the experience cannot really be explained as no words can express the feeling amazement and joy of being in the cockpit of a Spitfire soaring through the clouds. No large 2d, multi screen can come anywhere near this 360 degree/3 dimensional experience so my only advice is try and and see for yourself:)
  10. +1. I am also interested but have also been put off by the language problem. I must say that I have both the Airbus and 737 virtual cdu units and they are superb, but were purchased through the Apple App Store.
  11. Suggest you purchase OpusFSI and use their amazing Live Camera option, you can then set up any camera shot you want.
  12. Ok, I have been playing around with this problem and the work around seems to be, when the screen goes blank then press the screen where the FL button should be and the FLOWS button screen reappears.
  13. Just purchased the FCA 737 for the iPhone. I love the Check Lists, PA,FA etc but I am having some difficulty with the flows. If I press FL the Flow buttons appear and if I select one the the correct list appears. However I then experience two problems. - how do I exit the flow list and go back to the FL button page, especially if the list is long? - if I can select the FL button the screen goes blank! - although I downloaded version 1.2 the ab page displays version 1.0.0 This occurs on both my iPhone 5 and IPad using ios. 8.3 Otherwise an excellent app:)
  14. Errrrmmm, thanks for that. I will need some time to digest what is involved. Only had a couple of glasses of wine today, but will need a clear head to attempt it so have another look at it tomorrow:) Many thanks
  15. I had created Guernsey as an ESI pack using P3dV2.4 as Guernsey had worked well. Now I have updated to P3DV2.5 and when I install Guernsey using the ESI pack I receive the message Cannot find the 'D:\Prepar3D v2\scenery.cfg'. If I click ok the installation continues and this messages appears twice more. Guernsey is showing in my ESI Library but when I run P3D i can only see the default airport and the ES Guernsey is not showing in the P3D Library. I am also using FTX Global and Vector Hi Richard, not sure what entries to enter?
  16. Thanks but unfortunately it it does not solve the problem, really frustrating not being able to install Guernsey into P3DV2.5
  17. That is very strange as I have just downloaded and installed Guernsey using the ESI installer version 2.5 into P3DV2.5 and confirm that I received the error message 2 or 3 times saying that the installer couldn't find the Scenery.cfg file. The ESI installer clearly says that it is for P3DV2.4!
  18. Amazing, the US West coast is my favourite orbx area and your ships will be the icing on the cake; can't wait, many thanks for all the work that you have put in developing this top class product, we are all very lucky to be able to use it:)
  19. Thanks guys for the very helpful responses, all sorted now. Yes I had been using the click spot for the Hud which is excellent I but prefer to have it on my joystick. Wow the FMC setup option is very powerful but as a newbe to the PMDG 737NGX it took me a while to figure out to press the exec to assign the new key-press combination .I am only mentioning this as although it may be obvious to many it may help someone struggling as I was.
  20. I have recently purchased the PMDG 737 NGX FOR P3DV2.5 and would like to say how pleased I am that I did as the aircraft, documentation and tutorials are all superb. The learning curve to fly it properly however is quite steep although I was pleased to find how easy it is to hand fly it, just to get going. I really like the Heads-up display and would like to know how I could operate it via a joystick button. Don't seem to be able to find a keyboard button or combination etc so any help would be appreciated.
