  1. Here is an actual "milk run" route done in the early eighties by Pacific Western in 737's. CYXD ( Edmonton city center, they no longer allow large pax planes ), CYYC ( Calgary ), CYCG ( Castlegar very fun and challenging to land ), CYLW ( Kelowna nice views ), then finally CYVR ( Vancouver ). Each one of these hops is well under an hour, most closer to 30 mins. Eric
  2. There is also quite a number of addons from a Swiss company called Simmaddons, They have some nicely done Canadian airports. For aircraft the size you mention they have Halifax, Ottawa, Prince George, Kelowna, Winnipeg. Eric P.S. I am not affiliated with Simmaddons, only a fan
  3. Hi Banjamin, The SimAddons packages that are located in the Orbx areas do work well with Orbx. I have them all and I am happy with them. The SimAddons stuff uses photo scenery for Kelowna city and BigWhite ski area. It has different seasons and day and night. The green colour of the SimmAddons photos is a lighter green than Orbx and also a lower resolution than the generic tiles from Orbx. Some people prefer the photo stuff others the high res generic tiles. The photo scenery can easily be disabled so you have the Orbx scenery but the more detailed SimmAddons Kelowna airport. Personally, having lived in the area for quite a few years I prefer having the photo scenery. That way I also see the correct street layout that the generic Orbx tiles do not have. I also recommend the SimAddons Castlegar scenery. It is a lot of fun to land a 737 there as Pacific Western used to do. Keep in mind you must have one of the SimAddons Halifax packs ( which are great ) inorder to use the other SimAddons airports. Eric P.S. I am not affiliated with SimAddons, just a fan.
  4. If you don't mind 2d only cockpits then the best regional jet right now I think is the DA/Flight1 Fokker 70/100. Just don't ever expect it to have a 3d cockpit. This product is deep in systems, a dream to hand fly and looks great. It's just really too bad no 3d cockpit.Eric
  5. I have both and I think they are both excellent products. I find the Ifly product to be more predictable. It is easier for me to get it to do what I want. Keep in mind I have been flying the Ifly 3 months longer so that may have something to do with it but I don't recall having these little odd behaviors like I do with the pmdg product. I get the odd glitch from the pmdg product but that is likely more to do with me missing a step or something like that. I really like the way pmdg has tied so much functionality into the CDU and the level of cockpit lighting control. I like the Ifly's 2d panels especially having a thrust panel. I think it is a shame pmdg did not include a 2d thrust panel. I prefer pmdg's use of hot spots on the main 2d panel to bring up sub panels. I think it is a shame Ifly did not include a small external lighting panel like pmdg did. The pmdg has gone a little further in almost every way than the Ifly has but for me it does not add up too significantly......yet. So which plane do I fly more often this week? The IFly by about 2 to 1. Why? Because Ifly is the best 737-600 and 737-700 airplane available for FSX at this time. I prefer routes to smaller communities and airports. Eric
  6. Hi BobGLOWI's 08 is lots of fun. Until I got decent charts for it and read what others had to say about I had the exact same problems with it as you. If I might suggest, once you have tamed LOWI you might want to give a try to CYCG Castlegar. It once had regular scheduled 737 service but now has Dash 8 I think. Anyway, it is another circling approach in a narrow mountain valley. If you have Orbx NRM scenery or Simmaddons Castlegar scenery it even looks good.EnjoyEric
  7. Hi all.Actually if you take a closer look it is $45 for 3 airports, 1 heliport and the city of halifax. If you only want the 1 halifax airport then it is $30. I like the package a lot and think it is a good deal. I would have to say that the Simaddons' Halifax and Toronto Island airports are easily the 2 best Canadian airports addons available for FSX. But really the best thing about his packages is when you purchase them all you end up with a complete region where you can do both commuter type flights and general/bush type flights to those 25 smaller airports. A lot of fun.safe journeyEric
