Good Scenery add-ons for Canada

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have just watched the Just Planes 777-200 "Polar operations" DVD (Toronto-Hong Kong), which I have to say is the most spectacular aviation film I've ever seen B) (4hours 22mins long, so take a half day off work to watch it!)

I am suitably inspired to cross the pond and do some flying in Canada, but other than GEX USA. Canada & Alaska, I have no add-on scenery installed in Canada.

Can anyone recommend any good scenery for Canada? This is for use with the Turbine Duke up to 747-400 and everything in between .... so rather than an Orbx-style uber-detailed area like Vancouver+, I am more interested in larger airports (not necessarily huge, but not GA fields and strips), or wide area scenery.

I think my ideal would be a 'multi-airport pack' featuring nice renditions of the main city airports in Canada: Eg. Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, St. Johns*

Can anyone offer any recommendations ?

*of most interest, as half my family are in Newfoundland.

Thanks.

David.

Thanks guys, I'd say from a quick glance that looks to be just what I was after. Not cheap! ... but if it's good I don't mind paying for quality B)

Cheers.

David.

Sale? When? Why didn't they made it well-known?

Last sale was April 2011 I guess. At least that was the one where I got a ton of their airports. There was a thread on Avsim back then.

Nice stuff and surely worth the price. Only downside could be that you always need the Halifax base pack. But that is a great airport and location, so no trouble. Funny features on the whole snow and icing aspect. You get some tools for e.g. the snowploughs.

For the bush flying folks, those packages with the 20+ small fields may be a good idea.

I'll keep an eye on the bargain hunter's forum.

Maybe one could hint Ralph to offer a nice round of discounts again. As said, April 2011 may have been the last sales. Yeah, maybe he's already planning another one. Just guessing.

Sale or no sale, Ralph deserves every penny for his scenery ! I have them all and will keep buying everything he does !

Quebec province freeware

Quebec city and Trois-Rivières are two payware quality airports.

The others are quite good also.

I made the scenery for the Davie Ship Buildings witch is a shipyard east of Quebec.

P3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...
C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...

Oh, did Orbx learn from him?

Absolutely the same for me. I've known Ralph for about 2 years now, even before his Halifax scenery was released. I also posted about his sale last year.

You get amazing customer service from him as well.

I'm glad to see more people are supporting his work.

If you get the Halifax base scenery from Simmaddons, be sure to get the Kelowna scenery. It's a great approach into a beautiful part of the country.
