My only issue is that the airports Simaddons are featuring aren't the main 'hub' type airports of Canada that I was looking for. Halifax and St. Johns appear to be the only ones featured, from my initial wish-list. The rest are no doubt stunning, but feature smaller, regional airports.

I may buy his Halifax Base Pack, and then the St. John's addon though

I have been looking at the BluePrint Toronto Pearson, but it looks decidedly 'average' ...... are there any other good payware versions of Pearson?

Cheers.

David.

Montreal (CYUL) is in development by flytampa and Vancouver (CYVR) is being done by FSdreamteam which both should be out sometime this year. Simaddons i believe are in the process of Calgary (CYYC).

Hope this helps,

P.S I am from Newfoundland as well

So far only ORYXSIM's Canadian airports pack one, you can operate Kelowna RNP procedures, which fly by Westjet 736. Turbine Duke's GNS can certainly do so.

Concorde, thanks for your supersonic years...

I am a Maritimer too but not a Newfie....I am from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia.

And yeah I agree, SimAddons is the best. Ralph is a one man team and has a good series of Canadian Airports

Cheers

I'm really close to Cole Harbour myself, more precisely in Eastern Passage. Lots of Atlantic Canadians around here it seems.

Hey Maritimers ... back in the 1970s I lived nead Cole Harbour in a new development off Astral Drive. When the boys at CFB Shearwater did their circuits they came right down the middle of our street. Now live in Ottawa.

Small world...I used to live under that very same flight path just off Astral Drive.

regis ... interesting ... we were on Shrewsbury Road. I worked at DREA (Defence Research Establishment Atlantic) for a couple of years and then at Maritime Command HQ.

I did Ottawa, but the city, not the airport.

There is however, great freeware scenery for CYOW. I don't know if it's here, but you can get it at flightsim.com.

andy ... I've got your Ottawa city scenery on my FSX setup. Thanks for it.

Although I've lived in metro Vancouver most of my life, I was a Maritimer, too. I was born in Moncton, NB, and lived there until I was 11 years old. I've been to NS recently, but only to Halifax.

As for Sim Addons, I have CYHZ and CYQM (of course) among others. It's hard to believe it's a one-man show, and even harder to believe that he has never been to the airports he has so skillfully modeled.

Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)
