  1. HI, I am running a 31", 4096x2160 monitor. The scenery is as crisp, as never before. I would say 4K is, depending on your money, almost a must for v3.
  2. After playing a lot to install my addons of 2.5, I have v3 now there, where I had 2.5 before. For my expectations, it is running perfect and is giving me a new impression, when flying low over complex scenery.
  3. Hi, I have not done it yet, but there is for sure, no need for a new installation. You will get a new license ID and a new password; thats all. I personally would not do it now, because V3 is not far away, and you will have to purchase it again.
  4. Hi Michael, thank you very much for your advice. Setting shadow quality to max cures indeed the problem to a certain degree, but unfortunately not completely. Anyway, it is better than before. I need to watch the affect on fps. Thank you again.
  5. Hi, I am running P3Dv2.5 + latest hotfix on a GTX980Ti (nVidia 353.62 driver), scenery ORBX Global, + Vector, + Alaska+Canada LC and would like to know if anybody has experienced flickering object shadows when flying above buildings and trees ? My video card is doing a perfect job, but flickering shadows are terrible. I believe, it may be anyhow driver related, but are clueless, what to do against. Thank you
  6. Hi, I cannot offer you a 100% solution, but I would try: 1) Delete "Standard.xml" and "Standard.xmlx" once mor and let it rebuild by P3D. See, if this helps. 2) Check for double assignments in P3D and FSUIPC. If you want to assign controls via FSUIPC, then disable corresponding controls in P3D, or assign controls in P3D and then, you must disable it in FSUIPC. Having here no problems with Saitek controls, with P3D2.5 and W7/64
  7. May our Creator listen to all the prayers for you; Tom.
  8. Hi, I was experiencing the same problem. One day I detected a solution. Make a copy of your files "Standard.xml" and "Standard.xmlx" anywhere, or rename it simply. Then delete both files "Standard.xml" and "Standard.xmlx" and let it create P3D by itself. This caused all Saitek controlers to be available again. It is not a perfect solution, but it worked for me. Try then to copy back your saved or renamed files.
  9. Hi, I am a new member of the 4K family. Today, I got a LG 31MU97-B (31", 17:9). I am running P3D2.4 at 4096x2016 at 60 Hz (Dispaly Port), with frames of 30-40. The area, I am flying in, is Europe, with all the ORBX stuff. I must say, it is a completely new visual experience. Especially when flying low and slow. I am absolutely happy.
  10. Hi, maybe a dumb question. What minimum graphics card, resp. how much graphics memory do I need to operate a 28" monitor at 3840x2160 ? Thank you
  11. I have taken an existing ADF Gauge (from different aircraft) and placed in the Saratoga panel. Not a very professional solution, but it works. PM me, if you want it.
  12. Hi, after there is not any reply to my question, I believe, it is probably not clear, what I mean. I mean, I do not find an ADF device in the aircraft, though there is an ADF button on the audio panel. Are am I blind, or does the aircraft have no ADF ?
  13. Hi, maybe this is a stupid question, but I am not able to find, where to tune an NDB. The only thing I can find ist he ADF button on the audio panel. Thank you Bruno
  14. Hi, you will find it here. But be advised, SweetFX works with Win7 and Win8.0, but not with Win8.1 http://simtweak.com/
  15. Hi Rob, it gives me the best and most realistic looking scenery ever (ORBX). It looks even more threedimensional than bevore. My monitor: Dell U3011, 2560x1600 Thank you for sharing this. Bruno
  16. Sorry; my mistake, I should have read the full statement.
  17. Hi, SweetFx is working fine with Win7 and Win8.0 operating system, but does definitely not work with Win8.1. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/442403-looking-for-p3d2-users-on-windows-81/ More Information in the SweetFX Forum (Freeware Forums) here.
  18. A perfect decision; congratulations Rob !
