  1. I bought it and it's well worth the money. The VC is awesome and includes the entire upper deck.Doesn't have a 2d panel. That's good!It seems to be a lighter version with only the "necessary to fly"functions modeled. But there's still plenty of switches to flipand buttons to push. Learning curve is moderate.Frame rate hit is about the same as the default aircraft, maybe justa little more. Far less than the CS C-130 FPS hit. It's another great Captain Sim quality aircraft and well worth every penny.
  2. Flight Simmers don't need a shrink, because they're curedby being Flight Simmers. It's the people who don't Flight Sim that need professional help.
  3. Try the C-130 for FSX.It will change your mind.
  4. Will the VRS F-18 for FSX change your joystick button assignments or yourkeyboard assignments? I don't understand exactly what it does. Will it affect any other add-on aircraft or FSX key commands? Can you start it with engines running or must it be a cold and dark cockpit? Thanks.JB
  5. A native FSX version of the DC-3 would be nice!
  6. Two Thumbs Up For Jetline!!!A Great Product and Outstanding Customer Service. My Jetline Computer runs circles around FSX.My Frame Rate slider is set on 25, and I never see it change. It stays locked on 25 even in the most complexautogen/airport environment. All of my sliders are well to the right of center."Almost" maxed out on everything.FSX is beautiful when ran on a proper machine. All thanks to Jetline.
  7. +1 on the Quest Kodiak

I've tried 2 Megascenerys and I'm not impressed.Dallas, Tx is not a brown desert. It doesn't snow in Oakland, Ca.I like lot's of autogen and it just doesn't look right in photoscenery.

What Hawaii scenery is that?I just bought the Dauntless and it's one great bird.
  10. I'm thinking seriously about getting it.How long did it take to get the download?Their website says 12hrs?Does it have a 2d panel? Thanks
  11. Just buy it and install it.They're huge files and will take a while to download if you have a slow connection.I got the DVD cause my connection sucks.I have Dallas/Ft Worth (Original Megascenery) and Central California (MegasceneryEarth).I only have two problems with Megascenery.1. Since it's photoscenery, it appears flat while sitting on the ground. You must climb to at least 1500ft to see anything.2. You get only one season (mostly spring when the picture was taken). DFW and Central California both look more brown and desert like than during most parts of the year. The Grand Canyon should be a great add-on since it's mostly dirt and rock and seasonal changes don't affect it as much as other areas.
  12. Don't put all the blame on the developers. If people wouldn't buy a half finished product, then the developers wouldn't release them until finished. If you bought one of those incomplete airplanes, you haveno one to blame but yourself.Don't buy them until they're completely finished and that will put an end to this crap.Keep buying them and more and more developers will startdoing the same.

I'm very disappointed in Captain Sim.I was looking forward to a quality B-52 for FSX.I sent them an E-Mail and told them so.Lot of good that will do?
  14. Hopefully MAAM will hurry up and update one of the best flight sim add-ons ever made?I'd love to have a completely re-worked and updated MAAM DC-3 and B-25for FSX and Windows 7.
  15. That's my question too?The product details say it will not change any existing add-on airport sceneries.Would that include REX2?
  16. I'd like to see the Beechcraft King Air 350 for FSX.
  17. I'm very interested in this accusation about NHancer causing frame ratedeterioration in Windows 7 64 bit? I'm buying a new computer that hasW7.Please provide as much information as you can as to validate whyyou feel this way about NHancer. Is this your own opinion?Did you hear/read it somewhere? Where?Thank YouJB
  18. You Nailed It Right There! It all seems to come from the Commercial Developers and the Real World pilots.I'm not a pilot.I'm just a guy who enjoys Flight Simulator. That makes me a nobody in the Flight Sim world and unworthy of anyone's consideration. This thread has taught me one thing:Be very, very selective of where I spend my future Flight Sim dollars.
  19. I didn't realize who jrhoads was until just now.His Mustang is my favorite add-on aircraft and I fly it"almost" entirely from the virtual cockpit. It's one of thenicest VCs I've ever seen.I'm not a pilot and FSX is purely entertainment for me.I'm just a customer who has spent a lot of money onFSX add-ons. (And I do mean a LOT of money)It seems there's more going on in this thread than a simple poll? I really don't care for the attitude of someof the commercial members here and I will be moreselective of where I spend my money in the future.
  20. Your position really perplexes me? I'm the exact opposite.I guess if you fly only IFR in big airliners, you could get by with only the forward looking2D panel and the smaller pop up panels.I fly a lot of VFR in small GA and I find the VC absolutely necessary. I like usingthe pan/hat switch to look around as I turn to line up with the runway forlanding. That seems far more realistic than just always looking straight ahead.I'm addicted to looking out of the aircraft at the scenery going by. All of my aircraft areones you can see out of easily in the VC, like the CS C-130.A VC is so much more realistic. In fact, I won't buy an aircraft without a good quality VC.But, I guess to each his own.
  21. 2D panels are a thing of the past. Virtual Cockpits have progressed to a point where the 2D panelis just redundant. (At least in the higher quality payware aircraft.)The viewpoint in the VC can be adjusted to give a more realisticview of both outside and inside the aircraft.
  22. I live in Ft Worth, Tx.It does not include Canton. It's Eastern boundary is a North/South line drawn just east of Rockwall down through Terrell to Kaufman and then West and as far south as Waxahachie and over to Alvarado. The Southwest corner is just to the southwest of Benbrook, then it's Western boundary is up North just to the west of Lake Worthand just about to West as Weatherford. On the North it ends just north of Denton. It's good scenery, but I didn't like to because the photo was taken in the dead of winter on an exceptionally dry year. It's looks more like a desert than it really is. It was just too brown and dry for me.
