As an aside for newcomers to the program, it is worthy to seek out and download extra voices available here at Avsim. Search using 'Meatwater' as the search term. There are 10 files from memory. -

A great gesture, I have had RC for over 15 years, since FS9 indeed but appreciate the offering. I have made use of it. I must point out however that W10 Defernder identifies the file rcv4encrypt.exe as a virus. I trust Mr Dekker but worth pointing out in case others are fretful. -
Did you even try FSATIS which I directed you too on Simviation and spent a while explaining?

How to get an RC exe again for reinstalation

As per your advice re backing up RC4 on page 1, are there files asides from those in rcv4 & rcv4x that need backing up e.g. in the registry or windows system files? Sorry to drag up a done and dusted thread. btw I just reinstalled and got re-licensed in the space of about 15 minutes tonight by e-mail. Very pleased there is still continued support as regards the licensing though I suspect one day it may not be there hence the question. TIA. -
Hello, I am interested in this addon as I have 8 years worth of scenery and FSX is huge. However many S/w companies have placed their scenery in various locations and not just the Addon Scenery folder. Yet in the setup there seems to be only one option for where the scenery is installed. Can you address this issue please.

I reinstalled RC4 2 days ago at 1am Pacific. They responded with a new key 20 minutes later. I was impressed.

Think this is slooow, try Lockheed Martins P3D forum for a slugfest. I gave up going there. Surely it is to their detriment.

I have a brand new HDD sitting empty in anticipation

I agree wholeheartedly. FS9 is rock solid stable and with the right mix of addons almost as good looking as its unstable and neurotic younger sibling with FTX/ORBX.

Good bye and thank you for the fish

Yes Level D still holds up very well. I would welcome however a 2014 version with full systems like some competitors offer. -
Yes, I think the author should ensure the check box be checked just to be on the safe side until at least the code settles down. Also offer an opportunity to automatically backup changed files. It is too risky to let this program run roughshod through the files without recourse to backup. This is no insult to the author but he admits himself to not being a guru.

Joshua Howard Interview with AVSIM
Canuck55 replied to Tom Allensworth's topic in The Microsoft Flight (2012) Forum
Good point! I don't remember which of the elder sims it was but I seem to recall at least two of them had standard and deluxe issues in the past. Personally without support for my Saitek panels and TrackIR and my G940 system, there is nothing ot attract me.
