  1. The rnp is not simulated so it cant be done. JackColwill
  2. Heck those requirements are pretty much standard up here in Canada. Its not necessarily Transport Canada requirements but requirements set by the airlines. I am not ure what is so difficult though. You just go get a job flying charter until you get the time requirements or an ATP. But trust me you WANT pilot shortage. If this requirement to have an ATP creates this shortage it is a good thing. During the economic boom a few years ago, king air capt wages jump up 20K because the lack of qualified pilots.
  3. To be 1800 lbs imbalanced even with the apu running on the ground is a lot. You wouldn't get that much imbalance even after 3 hours of the apu running. JackColwill
  4. By moving the stick you aren't disengaging the AP. You are forcing it into cws mode and it depends on which way you move the stick. If you pull or push it you will force it into cws pitch mode. Turn the stick and will force it into cws roll. The autopilot will remain engaged. If you truly want to disengage the ap just push the button on the yoke. Hot key it to your controller to make it more realistic. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  5. You sure the EEP on the two different flight plans you are comparing are using the same airport? JackColwill
  6. Hey 559AS ( sorry not sure what else to call you!). Our ETOPS must be different than yours. I just checked my ETOPS manual and it specifically states based on still air hence the 394nm distance. That distance never changes. If it were based on winds it would change but it doesnt. JackColwill
  7. The EEP and EXP are based on still air. So the distance never changes for the NG regardless of winds. Winglets is 394nm and without is 388nm. JackColwill
  8. We set the CI to 0 on the ground. Then you manually enter climb, cruise, and descent speeds in manually. As for the apu bleed/gen leave them off/disconnected. The apu is just to be left running untill needed. Alsothe RNP for WATRS isn't .1 as stated above. It should be 10. The ETOPS/WATRS procedures aren't that difficult. Its when you have to alter course due to weather, etc and you can not get a hold of AIRINC to get an amended clearance. JackColwill
  9. With all due respect I disagree. None of the airlines, charters I have ever flown for use verbatim as such. Even airlines Ihaven't flown for use this. A simple "After landing checklist" is more common. Mind you there are a lot of airlines out there but imho it just sounds very unofficial for the lack of better words. Too bad we can't have a specific user sequence or verbage to tailor it to our own airline. If I get used to fs2crew and then jump in the real ngx I'll get smacked if I use fs2crew verbage.
  10. Thats the only thing I don't like about FS2Crew. The verbage is different (not to mention weird, eg "OK to clean up". Never heard an airline say that) which can mess you up if you ate used to saying different sequence and verbage.
  11. You sure that isn't placebo effect? JackColwill
  12. John, dont go by TAT on the ground. The ambient air temp is used. JackColwill
  13. I am guessing the sound he is hearing is when he is in CWS. Its letting him fly manually but trimming automatically. JackColwill
  14. Well if you arent in icing conditions it would never be turned on! Dont over complicate things guys. This is pretty simple. Dont have the TAI on above 10. Heck the CDU will notify you if you do. Other than that, always have the TAI on until -40. Then its off. One exception though is on the descent.........always turn the TAI on. JackColwill
  15. I assume you are talking about the click click.........click click...........click click. I am just wondering how many controller devices you have plugged in to the computer. I have 4 HDDs that I boot up under. One HDD has games like BF3. I used my logitech game pad for it. I booted up on the FSX HDD and forgot to unplug my logitech game device. somehow it kept triggering events in FSX. just for terds and giggles, try unplugging all your controller devices.....I mean ALL of them, then boot FSX. Is that sound still there? JackColwill
  16. Man If it isnt the standby attitude thats a tough one. Sound driver issue? Check for the latest drivers. JackColwill
  17. Hey guys. In the real thing ACARS let's you receive weather, atis, Notams, etc. it also let's you send email to the company directory; dispatch, crew Sked, operations, maintenance, etc. it does give you the OOOI times, out, off,on,in. We get out trim sheet the the ACARS unlink as well but this part isn't needed in the ngx. JackColwill Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  18. Lol. Well whatever you do I am sure you will have a blast. I still find the sim doesnt "feel" like the real thing but it works.JackColwill
  19. Ask them do do a V1 cut at high gross weight in hot temps and as wee to do an IMC approach on manual reversion. That should provide some entertinment for you! Have fun in the I'm!JackZcolwill
  20. Yeah, 25% is way too high. I will find out if its a fsx retriction. But to see one engine spinning andthe other not turn is very common on the real thing. JackColwill
  21. I belive you can remove it, David but off the top of my head I forget how. BUT all our newer NGs we have DO have the fuel flow indication so just leave it on!JackColwill
  22. Its not necessarily the PNF that guards the thrust levers. Most SOPs will have the CAPT guard the throttles (every take off) due to the fact the capt is the one who initiates a rejected take offJackColwill
  23. Thats why the is a cabin altitude light on the newer ones.JackColwill
