  1. Shouldn't the title be variation? Declination is different
  2. I do believe that this addon has been marketed as 'retro' flying in the sense you navigate navaid to navaid or bearing and distance from a navaid. If thats not what you wanted radoslav01, you were a fool for purchasing the product.
  3. Firstly, are you creating the plan inside FSX. If so, the database is so old it doesn't reflect the current situation. If the plan is created under the current AIRAC and you use Navigraph, you need to contact them as they points may be in correctly annotated in the database Craig
  4. I think it is important to highlight that Aerosoft and FSLabs serve different markets. Aerosoft focusses on the hobby flight simmer where FSLabs are looking at the commercial market and the hobby flight simmer. So there is a financial incentive for FSLabs to do the 319/320/321. Aerosoft obviously made a commercial decision that they woud only do the 320 and 321. While the flightcontrols etc are similar, to do the 330 and 340, they would need access to aircraft so they could take the pics so they could model the airframe and the cockpit. Then you need access to checklists, performance documents and other documents which would enable Aerosoft to model to the level of sophistication expected. And finally, I guess they have a list of projects they want to complete and resources may be an issue. Just my thoughts Craig
  5. I had this problem with the iFly B738 and was told that it was probably noise from the throttle on my ch products yoke and that I should increase the null zone. I tried the solution but didnt fix the problem so I ended up deleting the aircraft after persevering for a while. It has never been a problem with my other addons. Craig
  6. According to the QW user manual, you select air brake to open when assured of a landing and then when weight is on the main gear, they then move to lift dump as the spoilers are also deployed. Craig Further to my previous post. The wheels on the main gear must be turning, spoilers on or auto, at least 3 of the throttles must be at idle and anti skid must be on. Hope that helps Craig
  7. Alaar, I don't know what posts you have been reading but the comments from some on the Aerosoft forum and here on Avsim have been childish in the extreme. The behaviour is akin to how my 4 year old niece behaves when she can't get her own way. Joshua it was nice of you to extend an apology on behalf of Aerosoft but to my mind it's not needed. To my mind, Aerosoft have been upfront about what is happening with the development for which Mathijs deserves praise. I will get off my soap box now and go and pick up the toys and throw them back into the play pen  Craig
  8. I raised the issue of providing updates and expected release dates on the aerosoft forum and was told the company policy was to provide info to potential customers. It is a brave policy given the uncertainties involved with software development and the moaning from the behaviour of some that is equivalent to immature brats!!!! Craig
  9. €20 for 4 updates does sound expensive compared to the 5 updates for €10 with Navigraph. Mathijs on the Aerosoft forum did say they intended to compete on price but looking at this comparison, it doesn't appear to be the case. I am afraid for the flying that I do, I can't justify the spending extra amount with Aerosoft. So I will stick with Navigraph for the forseeable future.
  10. El padrino you can buy 4 updates and use them when you like for example. There are alternative plans. Craig
  11. I think Navigraph have a different source which has holes in its coverage, eg, no sids or stars for PHNL. As you say, the source is geared towards its customer base which isn't the flight simming community.
  12. DanW I understand Aerosoft are providing the LIDO database as provided to them and then changing the data into the different file formats required for the different addons. I believe this is what Navigraph do as well. If the data is wrong, then it is wrong at source. This is an issue for the provider of the source data.
  13. not at the moment. Charts maybe in the future apparently
  14. Aceridgey It was a ridiculous statement and aspreviously said, I don't see PMDG doing it for nothing. Where do you think this data comes from? And its not just sids and stars but also includes airways, navaids and waypoints.
  15. Not sure the engines shake durig turbulence. They bend and move as they meet the oncoming air currents. Which is why sometimes you get fan scrape with the casing. I also doubt that PMDG could realistically recreate shudder when landing. If you look at how stiff the wing flex is, shudder would just look weird.
  16. As for me, I am looking forward to upgrading to the i7 3770K ivy bridge chip Craig
  17. check the pfd/nd eicas display brightness
  18. It's not that straight forwa\rd. You need to subscribe to such add ons as navigraph and purchase the instrument plates for the airports you use. Then llok at the charts and you will then work out what you have to select in the FMC. Some airfields have straightforward sids where the name of the sid corresponds with the first waypoint. Others have a departure sid with a transition addition for the first waypoint. A similar setup exists for stars.
  19. I don't bother with the inbuilt ATC function. I do my own ATC. I use the TCAS targets to see the sequence for the runway and add myself usually about 3 miles behind the aircraft in front. This allows the aircraft sufficient time normally to get off the runway. I have crash turned off because sometimes they don't get off the runway in time. For departure I just join the queue and go when it is my turn. I have AI traffic set at the high end.
  20. Thanks Dimitri, if only I could remember the lateral and longitudinal separation standards!!!
  21. The purpose of sids and stars is to segregate traffic, terrain avoidance and noise abatement. They are only issued to aircraft following instrument flight rules (IFR). Pilots are required to plan the full flight including adding the sid and star for the expected runways for departure and arrival. Sometimes, ATC will leave the aircraft to follow the published procedures but can change the track of the aircraft by putting the aircraft on radar vectors or amendig the route. This is done for traffic reasons or it could be a case of track shortening. All depends on the circumstances at the time. Rgds Craig
  22. Are you sure it is free Umberto? You haven't added the cost for GSX to the price of the scenery?? lol
  23. No sure why there is a fixation on moving jetways. Scenery developers make their own choices and then put it to the market to sell. If you don't like what they have done - don't buy it!!! For me it's not just about moving jetways. I don't mind parking off stand and using stairs. It is the whole support thing that I like eg catering, refuelling, de-icing etc. For that, I don't mind paying a few extra dollars for AES. Maybe one day I will get GSX but AES meets my requirements now. Perhaps the next step for you Jean-Claude is to email the developers and ask why they have made their decisions to ignore the internal FSX functionality.
  24. I agree with Pete You have to remember, AES genesis is in FS9 and provided a product that really wasn't available at the time. UK2000 scenery had a couple of jetways which would move and that was it as far as I remember. Also, AES was was made available for a lot of freeware as well. It may cost 0,1,or 2 credits but it was made available. Oliver was asked to provide it for FSX as well but at the time it was not easy to migrate the functionality to FSX but over time he did it and has AES over time. Important thing toremember is that Oliver does this in his spare time and it takes a lot of time to put in the exact push back paths for each gate etc. Considering 10 credits is €14.95, most airports cost you an additional €2.99 on top of the scenery purchase price. So I am happy to pay the additional amount. For FSX, I believe the UK2000 scenery has moving jetways etc built into the software, but when you select it in the AES airport, I believe the internal UK2000 process is removed.
  25. ahh don't know the solution then. sorry :(
