  1. This is an "oldie" but good... https://xtremeprototypes.com/en/product_20series.asp Clive
  2. Hi Tom I installed the pfcfsx.dll into the modules folder (created by FSUIPC) and then make sure the correct com port is selected in the pfcfsx.dll when it runs on startup. Same as we did for FSX before. Regards Clive
  3. 'Here here' totally agree… just the VAS problem is the new headache! Now using the totally brilliant 'SimStarter' even the VAS problem is easier to manage. Clive.
  4. Hi all, Merry Christmas to everyone... My Graphics card is the GeForce GTX Titan Black 6Gb, Driver is version 344.75 I am using REX4 TD with 'Bright - Clear Coral' texture set and for the animation I'm using 'White Caps' Looks okay most of the time, somtimes I let the real world weather (Themes/Weather Tab) generate the textures and go with whatever it chooses. Cheers Clive OEDF
  5. Hi all "Velly interesting" I have just taken a couple of hours to read through this entire thread, and I am very glad I did. I want to thank all the "testers" for their time and effort and all the information gathering done by others. I was going "nuts" trying to decide what could be causing my OOM so quickly, but with this new found knowledge I will sleep well tonight! Once again thanks guys. Regards Clive.
  6. Hi all, This is my ButtKicker! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42837564/My%20Flightsim%20Stuff/2013-01-17%2015.28.48.jpg look carefully at the false floor, it is inside there! And I tell you this is the bees knees, everything vibrates correctly depending on what type of aircraft I'm flying! This is it with the cover removed... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42837564/My%20Flightsim%20Stuff/ButtKicker%20Floor/ButtKicker%20Floor%20007.jpg I love it too much, just adds that third dimension. I'd love to participate in the beta if required? Cheers Clive OEAB
  7. @Chuck B Five by five is the reply given to a radio check if the caller is loud and clear...
  8. It's an angry looking face though? needs some makeup...
  9. Rob, I used twisted link chain (probably way too strong for a 30 kg TV), and large flat washers on the mounting bolts. Using chain made the job of alignment (I used data from MyCockpit.org for a Boeing flight deck setup) a lot easier. I hope to receive a touch screen frame to stick on it this week! http://db.tt/tKunPzPc http://db.tt/bzHqQFn9
  10. Had the original "Buttkicker" for years... took everything to a new level by mounting all my hardware on a false floor! way to go! (see photo). Mounted the transducer onto a steel bar bolted inside onto the top floor and that floor is rubber mounted (door stops) to the base.
  11. Think of it as an old steam engine that needs "tinkering" everyday to keep it in good running order! Enjoy giving that TLC... Clive.
  12. Well guys I am very happy thanks very much Johan and Pete. Just taken all my aircraft out for a test flight and have to say things are a lot better for taxying, takeoff run and landing. Makes one look like a pro instead of weaving down the runway! Cheers Clive Northrop OEAB
  13. Looks like all this is only valid for free flight mode, in multiplayer mode I still get the problems you got Hamish :-( I'll have a think and see if there are any other solutions. Clive.
  14. Hamish Yes I did, took me all day though. And then I emailed Peter Cos with the info too, but he says that the backlights should be on anyway, and he didn't know what was happening 'my end', strange. Anyway I'm more than happy with the results for the present time. Clive
  15. Hi Hamis and everyone, Thanks for your info I have got my CDU up and running with the software from Peter Cos. Ref the screen, I am finding it difficult to switch on the screen prior to starting FSX, so here is a check list of the way I go about setting it all up for flying the PMDG NGX... Run the CDU controller program. Right click on the FDS-CDU (in taskbar), select 'Configure...' then 'CDU Controller Test Module' from the pulldown menu of available modules. Select an assignment from the pulldown menu (mine is 'CDU 1') and click 'Save'. Select Device Type 'Boeing' then select the 'LCD' and 'Back Lighting' boxes (at this point you can use the hardware brightness control to set the level of brightness.) At this point if you have not already set the NGX CDU window size, run FSX and load up your saved flight. Move and resize your 'Undocked Window' in the FDS CDU screen. At this time you will not be able to operate the FDS CDU and get a response in the NGX CDU... (don't worry), minimise FSX. Now right click on the FDS-CDU (in taskbar), select 'Configure...' then 'PMDG' from the pulldown menu of available modules. Select an assignment from the pulldown menu (mine is 'Captain') and click 'Save'. You will notice that the FDS CDU keys are still lit! Now 'restore' FSX and the FDS CDU will now control the FSX NGX CDU! Save this now in a startup flight and everytime you start the CDU will be in the correct size and position! Just go through this list. Hope this helps... Clive.
  16. Hi Hamish I just recieved my FDS CDU this afternoon, WOW! I got it running with the demo version of SIM A software nice... ref the "software" FDS sent you, Do I have to contact Peter Cos to get it or can it be downloaded from somewhere? Clive
  17. Just to update... Yes the PMDG 737 can be configured to the PFC Jetliner Console and throttle! It's great! Check the other threads for more info...
  18. Oh wow Max, you won't believe it but using your great info I applied the same to the flap lever and it works! I now have all the levers working OMG... Okay if I can just settle down a moment...open FSUIPC Registered, 1) on " Axis Assignement" window click Rescan and move physically up and down the Pfc FLAP lever. 2) under Type of action required set button selection "send direct FSUIPC calibration " 3) pop up the first window under and select "flaps" and you have finish with this window. 4) on "Joystik calibration" window press the selection arrow to visualize internal page 6 5) Check the box "REV" 6) You should have the upper right quarter page called "flaps" press set and move the lever to flaps 40 and press the set button under MAX 7) now move the flap lever to the flaps up position and press the set button under MIN 8) Press OK and close the FSUIPC windowif your lever has a little "noise" you may get the ocassional flap lever moving by its self, or missing a detent. But I am so pleased this works thanks MAX.
  19. Well just an update... I did purchase this wonderful plane and managed to get all the knobs and switches working, but still trying to get the spoilers and flaps setup. It's a joy to manual fly! here's the gear I using:-http://dl.dropbox.com/u/42837564/My%20Flightsim/IMAG0117.jpghttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/42837564/My%20Flightsim/jetliner%2520addii.jpghttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/42837564/My%20Flightsim/jetliner%2520console%2520lower%2520panel%2520illustration%2520flat.jpghttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/42837564/My%20Flightsim/jetliner%2520illustration%2520web.jpg
  20. Hi MaxPlease don't keep me in any more suspense! :-) Would you tell me what you selected in the end?I seem to get most of what to do right but am stumped at the same point you were.RegardsCliveOEAB
  21. Hi BobThis was very interesting to read and digest.I spent a good few hours making FSUIPC mouse macros for this 737NGX today... all worked very well, then I see this post...I tried your idea and could only get item 2 (spoilers arm/disarm) to work (actualy I ticked both up & down direction boxes, so the lever works both ways)I have copied my text from the ini file, and would be interested to compare it to your text to see where I'm going wrong?[Axes.PMDG 737-800NGX PMDG House Winglets]0=17X,5121=17X,U,8901,14577,66065,02=17X,B,5547,8643,65853,03=17X,B,-2967,645,65786,04=17X,B,-8386,-4773,65786,05=17X,D,-16384,-8902,66064,0 I've been flying this bird non-stop today, she's the best!regardsClive
