  1. Interesting. Are you running a clean install of PTA too? I've tested it a good handful of times from clean and it seems to be fine.
  2. Yeah, that's what screwed me last week when I assumed it was just a straight forward update... that'll teach me. All fixed now though, feel free to update to the latest version.
  3. Correct. As I mentioned, there was a small delay. I am juggling lots of things at once so today was the only chance I had to properly test it and publish it, which i've now done. You can now update to 2.67.
  4. Hi all, I recently just made v2.67 of PTA available which brings compatibility for Prepar3D v4.5 HotFix 2 only. Please note: v2.67 is ONLY compatible with Prepar3D v4.5 HotFix 2, use v2.66 for Prepar3D v4.5 & Prepar3D v4.5 HotFix 1. You can find the download (and all previous versions) via your order page on the SimTweaks website. Thanks, Matt.
  5. As much as I agree with you in regards to my inherent lack of comms (I feel like I communicate well but I forget not everyone uses Twitter/Twitch), I could update daily, people will still complain. It's easy to brush over it by blaming me (which I am completely ok with if that is the actual reason), but all you need to do is look at the history of the "complainers", by majority their existance is spent complaining/bullying/victimising. I wish it was as straightforward as you're claiming, but it really isn't. I've no idea where this evil mentality comes from with those people but it's dangerous. In terms of "official" places, I've replied to plenty of people on this forum, so here is fine. The website I could post on too if that is what people want but I feel more people read here than the website.
  6. It's the whole "we want everything yesterday" mentality. It's almost like people forget we're human & thus, we're not perfect. If the roles were reversed & they had to account for every single thing they said, it wouldn't be long before you'd see just how pathetic they are because, with their logic, they are the customer & that means immunity from being called out for being a dick. What is really interesting is that apart from one person, who clearly did it because his friends were stood watching & he wanted to prove himself to be the "alpha", every single person I have met face to face have been nothing but nice. They're always super supportive and I always come away feeling motivated... until I get home, visit places like here and it's all flipped upside down. One day there will be enough people fed up of asshats that they'll stand up to them and they'll get put in their place. I long to see that before my days are over. I want to be friends with everyone that shares this hobby. I understand that not everyone wants to be friends in return. I also understand that not everyone likes me/my "products". However, that doesn't give you a right to act in the way some people are acting. If you're not a fan, leave me alone and go and enjoy the things that you actually enjoy. Spending your life with any sort of negative influence (be it self inflicted or not) is such a waste of time. We get one shot at life, don't take it for granted. I don't come after you, all I ask in return is that you do the same. You'd be amazed how many fs devs over the years have just left because of how much undeserved hate/negativity comes their way. Sure it's ok to say "get thicker skin", but why? Why is that the answer? Surely the answer is to not be an word not allowed in the first place so that people can continue to not be picked on, be miserable, feel like they can never do right? There is a massive difference between a dev doing something wrong to a point where it's a scam or something crazy/illegal like that. At that point the community seems to cope well in sniffing them out and making sure they either never make the same mistake again, or leave... vs a dev being a decently normal person, not keeping to standards that specific individuals have in their head & as a result of that, getting essentially bullied. The latter is NOT ok. Engage brain before mouth (or keyboard in this scenario) is something that I was always taught. When I am posting, the last thing I am thinking about is how I can make the target of the post feel victimised/bullied. Constructive criticism is key. Just think about what you're doing before you do it. If you came on to something like AVSIM and saw your post but written by somebody else, would you read it and think "word not allowed this guy is a douchebag"? I reckon you would. We should be a "family" - a group of like-minded individuals that all love aviation. It's actually better than a family really, you can at least be selective here. If I have to post things like this a million times in order to make some sort of change, I will. I am sick & tired of it all. I want the future of our hobby to be incredible. I don't want it filled with toxic idiots that cannot see the world through a positive set of eyes. I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say if you fall in to that category, you're not welcome here (or anywhere really).
  7. @doublebubble If you're going from HF1 > HF2 (or whatever the older version was called), you'll be fine. It's only causing errors for people who are starting from scratch as PTA doesn't have a way of "bridging" the gap between the older shaders & the newer changed ones. In terms of what has changed, surprisingly nothing in terms of actual physical logic, they just decided to rewrite and optimise some of the shader code. The way PTA works from a core point of view is quite simple: it looks for the section of the shader that you want to be tweaked and simply does an overwrite with the values that you have specified. The moment those default values get changed (even down to adding spaces/tabs), the entire logic breaks as it can only work with exact matches. I hope that makes sense, It's 8am here and I'm still awake from yesterday so everything is just a bit of a mush at the moment 🙂
  8. Just a small update - I had it working and ready to release but last minute found a issue with another tweak as a result of fixing one of the changed ones. This is gonna put things back a small while whilst I fix it.
  9. @mpo910 How you choose to perceive text is your doing - I didn't target you specifically. I am simply telling you how it's looking from my POV. @CaptKornDog Yup, there was. It was "almost" (i.e 90%) completed, then the investor pulled out, people didn't get paid, code wasn't completed. I am working to get it resolved though so hopefully not too much longer.
  10. I could give you an update daily, people would still assume the worst of me. It's a battle I've learned not to fight. The evidence is plastered all over the forum - just view some of the replies. Within 35 minutes of the HF being available, people like Eric above were already doubting that PTA would be updated within a reasonable time. Just because others are a little quicker to the mark when it comes to updating doesn't render me as some sort of useless entity. I have a myriad of other things going on at the same time. When you work by yourself (as I have been for some time), you have to prioritise certain things. I only got my hands on it at the same time as you did. The general attitude of some people is hugely demotivating. PTA has been updated, as promised, to work with the latest versions of P3D for years now. There is an ever growing part of me that wishes I'd never bothered with PTA from day 1. It's caused more problems than it's solved - doing what I thought was right by something turned in to a legitimate avenue for people to be absolute morons. I just hope they find some sort of peace in life beyond getting angry at a computer. Anyway, to answer your question, I'll post an update to it during the week/weekend. I'm still working out what they've changed - as the versions progress, the shader logic seems to change pretty violently. I'll post when it's available.
  11. We're about 85% completed with it. It's difficult to put a time on it but it's weeks, not months.
  12. I've updated it with my latest preset for you, just re download 2.66 and it's inside there.
  13. https://app.projectfly.co.uk/app/#/forgot I don't quite understand the need to take the passive aggressive stance, but whatever, keyboard warriors.
  14. Please, for your own sake, go outside & take a few deep breaths. We've already dealt with it - Microsoft have acknowledged it was a false positive and updated their database accordingly.
  15. PTA v2 can be upgraded to PTA v3 for a small upgrade price. However, if you'd rather not pay and use PTA v2, we will still update it to work with the latest sim updates (until the end of P3D v4) but you will not have the newer features included with PTA v3.
  16. It'll be within the next month - no exact date yet.
  17. Nah they haven't. We submitted PTA to Microsoft to get it cleared from their blacklist - they've emailed us back saying it's been done so hopefully it will reflect in the next update.
  18. You can close PTA once you've successfully applied the preset.
  19. Delete everything you have, including everything in this folder: C:\Users\Bill\AppData\Local\Temp Then re download PTA via whichever way you normally download it and EXTRACT it to it's OWN folder on your desktop (or a place you will not losing it). That should leave you with a folder called "PTA" (or whatever you've called it) with the pta.exe inside of that folder. Right click the .exe and click run as administrator - it will create a folders and some files in the folder and the program will launch.
  20. You haven't extracted PTA into a folder, you're trying to run it from a zip. Extract it into it's own folder, then run it as admin (right click > run as administrator).
