  1. I've used both Intel and AMD over the last 26 years. My first AMD build was the Athlon XP 1900+ back in 2002. I myself have always preferred AMD. But honestly, both have performed well for my needs in Flight Simulation.
  2. Thanks. That was the issue. Why on earth does it turn itself off?
  3. Today my MSFS is acting strange. It will not download real weather or satellite ground textures, and the marketplace is not available? Is it just my connect is broken, or are other getting this?
  4. Used trackIR for about 13 years. Switch to Tobii a month ago. I like both. Tobii is the better product as you don't need the clip.
  5. I paid CAD$1230 after tax. Thats US$917. MSI RTX 4070 Ti Ventus 3X 12G OC
  6. I've been in the hobby since FS95. Back in the 90 & 00 I was probably flying 3 - 4 hours a day, For the last few years I am not nearly as interested and I fly maybe 1 hour a month
  7. I use a 60" curved Samsung 4K TV as my monitor. Better price then buying a monitor and it works fantastic. Ive only used a TV as a monitor for the last 8 years. Will never waste money on a small monitor again!
  8. P3D and FSX doesn't have this problem. Its the middle of summer in the Yukon where I live and no snow. Load up MSFS and its snow everywhere. I'm sure if Birmingham, UK had snow covered runways in August in MSFS you wouldn't be saying "it is a flight simulator, so just fly."
  9. $4.99 with the remainder of my store credit. What a bargain. I love the 600. I have travelled on the WestJet real life one several times.
  10. You pay for what you get! If you want to just spent $30-$50 and get a plane full of bugs that is never finished stick with CS and Carenado! I am happy to pay a premium price for a premium product! At the end of the day it is your choice!
  11. Mountains full of snow in the middle of summer. MSFS is rendering winter texture in July. Its not accurate
  12. MSFS 2020 is not very accurate rendering seasonal textures. I live in the Yukon and in MSFS is rendering the mountains covered in snow and in reality there is next to no snow at all for this time of year.
  13. X-Plane pre UI overhaul was much better then now! they dumbed it down
  14. I live in the Yukon and it looks great. I haven't crossed the border into Alaska yet
  15. I have no doubts this is a great simulator but not for probably another 6-12 months. Just like all the previous versions of MSFS it will take several service packs before everything good. The out of the box scenery is stunning. The UI and controller setup is awful. Probably the worst I have seen in my 35 years of flight simulator.
  16. Started to figure it out. Its a difficult UI for sure!
  17. Same problem with my X55 Hotas. What is the video you found?
  18. I am not enjoying this user interface. I cannot get my X55 controllers working. They show up in the menu but I cannot assign any buttons and when I load a flight the axis don't respond! I am not having fun.....
  19. Thanks I see it at the top now. I was looking at the time notes. So 9pm Pacific in north America
