  1. Just checked the website, it gives instructions how to install them. http://www.uk2000scenery.com/afcad/fs2004_afd_update.htm
  2. All AFCAD files should be placed in "FS Directory\Addon Scenery" in order to be automatically recognised. What I don't understand, though, is why this is a problem. Did the installer not already locate them there? Where have you found them?
  3. CMD A or B needs to be on, that's the Autopilot main switch. Only one - the only time both are needed is during an ILS Autoland.
  4. Correct - but I was just curios since I only have the iFly and therefore can only know for sure it works on that. You should be able to programme the FMC for flight and then use the MCP because that's exactly what I do most flights. There's a heading indicator on the MCP - set that to your desired heading and select the heading button nearby (Can't recall what it says). As for altitude, there's exactly the same on the right hand side of the panel. Select the altitude and then "Alt Hold" then you should be good to go. That's exactly how I fly my iFly.
  5. Is this for the iFly 737 or the old PMDG series?
  6. You can easily tell a page like that is a scam, anyway. How they just keep going on "Just keep reading one second more!" "One more second of reading!" etc etc. Eugh! What fools. Some of the shots are from X-Plane too!
  7. Their motto is "Complexity, Simplified" - it isn't just a tag for the 757. I actually find that the 757 is modelled into great detail, it's just all the nitty gritty bits that aren't there. Yes - although it wont have an effect if you already have it installed, and it's pretty unlikely since you've paid for a certain number of downloads and them removing that right can get them in boiling water. As for when you exceed the number of downloads, they're usually very friendly and give you more free of charge.
  8. I'm also actually really excited for the Avro and 787 series - backing up what Momtchil said, they must have seen impressive figures with their 75' (which I adore) for them to move against all of the other mainstream developers. It seems really like a smart move anyway, to develop for FS9. It'll take up more time and resources (and money) but the profit now that other developers have moved on will be astonishing for something like a T7 or a full Airbus series. Also their quality is just amazing in the 75'. Just saying
  9. I find this thread great, and i'm very glad that the OP is getting such awesome results. In my opinion, it'd be nicer to fill FS9 with great addons rather than struggle with FSX with a few addons and tweaks. Understandably the OP's hardware should run FSX nicely but she seems very happy and that's all anyone can ask for. Let's not have a battle of opinions here?
  10. I love it, too - looks a lot better than the old one (which IMHO looked pretty bad against the forum banner)
  11. My sense of humour is activated more by silly things rather than actual jokes so i'm just giggling constantly watching them spin. I sound like such a child!
  12. Not sure whether this is an April fools joke or not, but all of the images on the forums are spinning around frantically when I hover over them? LOL!I keep laughing to myself at people's heads spinning like no tomorrow. Is this a bug or am I paranoid?Happy April Fools Day! (IF that's considered a holiday?)
  13. Perhaps he was levelling off or changing the descent rate then?
  14. I believe it's quite rare for V/S to go up in such small incremental values after flying so many different aircraft, but I know a few do. I can vouch, though, that the 737 can only increment +/-100 FPM at a time.I could be wrong...
  15. 3 Spring to mind that I know of.World of AI (Freeware - but very good quality): http://www.world-of-ai.com/Ultimate Traffic (Payware by Flight1 but discontinued): http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=utrafficMyTraffic (Payware, perhaps the best but for a price?): http://www.simshack.net/product_info.php?products_id=262
  16. I'm very sorry to hear that you are having troubles - here's some explanations to your queries and some possible solutions. Everyone will get this error from time to time - it's because the file that SHOULD be there was lost when AVSIM was hacked a few years back. It shouldn't be shown in the library after running a search but often occurs when following a link from an off-site forum, especially when the post is dated. I'm not quite sure why Mozilla would have a problem with our server - it works fine for many people, but we at the Library like to recommend Chrome as it's the least buggiest of the better browsers. I love Chrome! You'll have to check over your antivirus protection software (or any other program of that kind) to make sure it's not blocking our FTP. If there is a page for exceptions or allowed web pages then be sure to add "library.avsim.net" to it.I hope this helps you out a little! If you have any more problems then do remember that you can always contact the Library team at library@avsim.com
  17. I believe if you do use the quick editor and try posting it, wait a few secs and reload then it'll work. Oh, and why hello there double posting bug
  18. Don't over thrust... LOL! :(
  19. http://www.pafs.wf/Project Airbus have created THE most realistic Airbus Models I have ever seen. They've created The entire A320 Series and an A380 - with the more recent releases even with FSX native models. The A380 even has a VC modelled. All the models have amazingly convincing flexing wings, exterior animations, details and so-on. The only thing they lack in are a panel and a sound set (but they can be found easily on the world wide interweb)They're freeware. Perhaps you should check them out. :(Edit: Some of the links you have provided aren't working (mainly the AVSIM Reviews) - Make sure there's no "." at the end of the link.
  20. Hi, Just some casual sarcasm - didn't mean to be rude or offensive. Although looks like some people don't have a funny bone :lol:Shall keep my internet memes between my RL friends from now on, it seems to not go down well.
  21. Awesome stuff - glad it's not freeware though, i'm a few hours off completing my own take at this. Unfortunately it looks VERY similar so i'll have to be careful.Anyone want it uploading?
  22. Well if I wanted to do such a thing, personally i'd do it via a Tutorial (http://forum.avsim.net/tutorials/ - there's a FLIGHT Subcategory there) and in the online page i'd give a quick into to the file and then give a download link. The best way to host it, IMHO, would be on Dropbox since it can be updated and you wouldn't have to update the link. I use it all the time for getting files back and forth between my laptop (where the client is installed) and my Sixth Form network account (using the web service) http://www.dropbox.com/I hope this helps
