  1. What an odd thread
  2. Tweak = bought a new computerXPS = Xtreme Pile of Sh*t
  3. Completely agree with you. Never seen a 737NG cockpit looking quite that white.
  4. I can confirm (for me at least) that it does run quite a bit better than the iFly. I have a Core 2 Duo 3.06Ghz, 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon 4670 256mb..I also have REX installed and some random ORBX airports iFly would run fine while in flight and at most airports, however when landing at bigger airports or an ORBX airport it would sometimes get jerky (ahh) With PMDG I have not experienced this behaviour. I cannot say how impressed I am. I had real concerns about running this product given its complexity. Turns out I worried for nothing! Amazing stuff!! EDIT: I know we shouldn't compare products on this forum, so please forgive me but....Why did I ever spend money on iFly!
  5. Great news! Can't wait to try out this product, it's going to be amazing!
  6. What scenery add-on is that? Looks really good!
  7. Lame
  8. Am I the only one who thinks those Flight screenshot look quite average. I mean for the time between FSX and Flight, I'd expect to see some more improvement in the visuals. I understand the realism and 'physics' may have improved...But come on. FSX with REX + UTX etc blows those screenshots away.
  9. Great thread! Always looking to find add-ons for realism.I'm wondering if anyone can suggest an airport add-on to increase the realism at the gates (i.e. proper gates, loading vehicles etc).. Sometimes gets very boring seeing an empty airport! Thanks!
  10. I had the exact same problem and after weeks of frustration I found the solution:http://www.ramoonus.nl/2010/01/the-fix-to-microsoft-flight-simulator-x-crash-on-windows-7-x64/Hope it works for you also
  11. This is an excellent summary. The exaggeration is what increases the level of realism, I think PMDG are spot on with their reflections and even find the J41 reflections enhance realism.
  12. Thanks for the reply guys, I will definitely give this a try. FSX currently is a bit jerky for me when I'm in the 747-400X, so will take any improvement.
  13. Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this. But could you expand a little more on this. I currently set my FPS limit in FSX to 20fps...Is there a better way to do it?
  14. Umm I don't think that is true. The default 737 is not nearly as complex and resource heavy. Just look at the PMDG 747 vs default 747.
  15. Amazing stuff! I've just been learning the FMC on the PMDG 747 in preparation for the NGX. I'm just very worried that my poor old system isn't going to cope.... Core 2 Duo 3.06, 8GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4670 256mb!!
