  1. Starting to look very interesting, Johan, bedankt!
  2. Will the additional voice sets be available separately? I'm not sure I'll ever get to the level where I'll be able to handle emergencies, but I'd love to get the new US female voice set.
  3. Very few questions really are dumb... One such scenery would be http://www.megasceneryearth.com. Another, which was mentioned here already, would be http://www.sim-savvy.com. For high altitude flying there's also FS-Altitude from http://www.fsaltitude.com. For even more detail, with many incredible hand-made additions, there's ORBX/FTX from http://www.fullterrain.com.
  4. See this excellent work by roarkr: http://forum.avsim.n...-efiss-and-cdu/ (haven't tested the CDU support (yet), due to lack of one...) [edit: Ook rechtstreeks te downloaden van de Opencockpits site, Hans!]
  5. Why not get a USB to VGA adapter, like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-VGA-Display-Adapter-Available-USB-2-0-3-0-Hi-Speed-Port-For-Desktop-Notebook-/180976332304 Should be more than fast enough for simple text...
  6. Great, thanks! (I take it the "* -1" should be added to the end of the line, rather than inserted into it?)
  7. Forgot to mention "support for ADF"...
  8. Roar, first of all, thank you very much for your continued efforts! I just did a quick test with 1.05, and both MCP and EFIS appear to be rock solid now! (haven't tested all options yet) The only niggle I have is the vertical speed wheel still working the wrong way around... Also, would it be possible to have the heading window display the bank angle (without a leading "0") when the knob is in bank angle select mode? That way, it would be immediately clear what mode it is in. All I need now is support for the COM, NAV, Transponder, and general aviation panels... B) (I'll post this in the comment form on your website as well)
  9. Initial impressions of v1.03, after one short flight: A/T arm works now (LED still doesn't), but speed setting can still not be changed on the hardware MCP when speed window is in Mach mode. Vertical Speed wheel still works the wrong way around (should work similar to the trim wheels). Several MCP buttons only work after they've been clicked once on the virtual MCP, like CMD A and HDG SEL. After a while HDG SEL only worked on the virtual MCP. Range setting on the EFIS is often off by a factor 2. (for instance, 2.5 or 10 when set to 5) Mins and Baro settings work both ways now. (up and down) I must admit I'm not familiar enough with the systems to be able to thoroughly test them yet, but will try to do some more testing in the following days... Thanks a lot so far, Roar!
  10. OK, I managed to get both the MCP and EFIS working, more or less... Still have the issues already reported by iab, and the vertical speed wheel still works the wrong way around. Also, switching between Radio and Baro, and between In and Hpa, doesn't work very consistently.
  11. Can anyone post their working sioc.ini for the Plug&Play MCP and EFIS? I had the MCP working fairly well with the beta I received from Roar some time ago, but with the newer versions, many of the MCP's functions don't work anymore, and the EFIS doesn't work at all. So, I hope I can figure out what I'm doing wrong by comparing my sioc.ini to those that work...
  12. Actually, that's supposed to be "and don't call me Shirley"...
  13. Hydraulic lift kit, so the plane can squat, jump, and do other tricks while taxiing? Brake parachute for ultra short field landings? Floats? Horn in the nose wheel well that plays "La Cucaracha" ? But seriously, I do want another pilot visible from inside the VC.
  14. Great news, Roar -- thanks for your efforts!
  15. I second (third, fourth, whatever...) the request for a PDF version.
  16. Good thing they haven't completed that attack version of the NGX yet! :([edit] I think it's called a "gunship"...
  17. Too bad I already bought the 737NG Audio Ground School some time ago -- it would have been less expensive in the bundle now. Oh well... :sad:BTW: "The Video Marshaller can even interface with the iFly 737NG (Ground Air/Power)" ??? :(
  18. Actually, not a non-zero cost would make it a zero cost -- probably not quite what you meant... :(
  19. Umm, wouldn't it be 1105 zulu everywhere then, and not just in Blighty?!? :(
  20. Hmm, I doubt that... I downloaded and watched the episode last night -- the landings in Oostende were touch and gos, in which the speedbrakes werent's supposed to deploy. And after the landing in Brussels the captain made it clear that, apparently, it was SOP to reach for the speedbrake lever to make sure it deploys. Besides, AFAIK, deployment of the speedbrakes doesn't rely on how hard the landing is, but on main gear spinup with the speedbrake lever armed, or deployment of reverse thrust.
  21. I've kinda lost track of all the updates and changes -- is there a complete package for download now that's known to be OK?In any case, thanks for your efforts, roarkr!
  22. I just don't understand the attacks on people for voicing their opinion on the state of the simulated aircraft, anyway, as long as nobody is demanding a change, or lack thereof. Having an opinion about the necessity of a proposed change is a different matter, but there's no reason not to be respectful towards each other. Ultimately, we're all here because of a shared interest, a hobby, even if some of us are also professionals in the field of aviation. So, kids, play nice, please!
  23. I still have an MS Force Feedback 2 joystick lying around somewhere, gathering dust, but haven't been brave enough to take it apart, to see if it can be integrated into the CH yoke somehow... The FF yoke you mentioned is pretty cool, but the yoke itself looks even less like a 737 one than the one on my CH Pro. And exchanging it for a realistic one would make it even more expensive! I guess I'll give the FF2 with FSforce a try one of these days, despite its "Airbusness"...And I'll check out Youtube for info on building a FF device -- thanks for the tip!
  24. Ahh, thanks for the clarification! From what I read in the book, it appeared to me as if only the elevator feel was dynamic...[edit] So, if I understand correctly, you DO feel when the ailerons are not trimmed properly, because you have to "fight" against the springs, but when they are, the feel for banking is provided by the centering springs? Wouldn't this be similar to how my yoke works?(I really would like to understand, not trying to win an argument)
